:6: Simple melody, simple lyrics, very typical jury pleaser. Not risky, there's obligatory vocal gymnastics (just a little bit) for the jury, "they won't break us, there will be another day" kind of songs is too cliché even for us. I liked the part in French and how emotional the part in Hebrew was. But given her backstory, I expected more raw emotions and creative freedom from the artist. I wish she wrote the song by herself. When she sings "a new day will rise", it doesn't sound believable to me xshrugSing it to/for every victim, not only Israeli. Like Jamala did, you believe every f-en second. I feel Yuval and all her struggles (duh!) with every molecule of my body. But I don't feel this song.

ps. Israeli team, pls concentrate your energy on the performance and working with your own artist, instead of bullying 15 other delegations this year. Thanks ;)

This is amazing! I didn’t think last year could come close to Unicorn, this year I didn’t think anything could come close to Hurricane… this year I think we have a winner!

I really, really like the piano-only part of the song. Honestly would've had a hard time not :10:ing or :12:ing this if it'd stayed there. Really loses me when it goes away from that and gets bigger. I'll give it a slightly stingy :7: overall*

*And this vs the Czech Republic getting :10: from me provides an important lesson: if you're going to have one part of your song be better than the other for me, close with the slay!!

I think this might come closer to winning than last year's song, might even win considering how there's no real viable compromise winner as it seems now.

Not buying it. Musically it's merely alright and it strikes me as yet another ''peace & unity song'' from Israel that for obvious reasons screams fake. For me Israel last year was better and I was not a big fan of that entry either. Moreover the melody of the chorus sounds oddly strongly familiar to me which bothers me. Some arrangements though gotta say are very lovely in this one, especially towards the end of the song. It's not bad, but I expected something stronger after some hype that was reaching me about Yuval Raphael, I'd like to hear her singing something else at Eurovision.

I really don't see how it possibly can win but with this being Israel it can possibly get ~10th in the GF with some luck and a very compelling performance. It's not a safe qualifier in my opinion.

The piano on the verses is nice but it sounds so familiar to me - almost like a rip off, but I cant figure out exactly from where.
Rest is ok, I dont think they took good advantage of the voice shes got tbh, I was expecting something way more powerful.

People on here seem to disagree but the song is not bad and is a mostly English language ballad in a year filled with native language televote bait. It will stand out and be voteable for casuals. Israel's presence + her backstory will be what everyone talks about in May. That will mobilise the same supporters from last year easily. Just like last year, I think ignoring Israel until the week of the contest is stupid.

I wonder if the imagery/symbolism they will use for the staging will be as obvious/heavyhanded as in the music video. I don't really want to comment much more on her, her backstory or discuss the themes of the video, as I think it's way too sad and macabre.

This is a gorgeous song - I absolutely love those piano moments we get and her raspiness really compliments the whole thing. Solid entry! Was Hurricane better? Yes… but this is still pretty good!

Yeah I think it will repeat the televote performance of Hurricane, and might even do better with the juries than Hurricane did. The political televote will materialise for Israel again

Beautiful entry.

Makes me thing of classic French songs - Ne me quitte pas, Les moulins de mon coeur, and Frida Boccara in general.

Will it win? No.

I expected sth like this from Israel and I like the entry. I don't want it to win.
But it's much more sincere and less forced than last year. Eden had something evil about her that I didn't trust anything she sang.

This is such a beautiful and powerful entry. I currently have it in my 11th place, but I can see it climbing higher with how moving it is.

Now my biggest wish is that the Israeli delegation can behave and not be terrible people in Basel, so we don´t have a repeat of last year and can avoid Yuval getting hate.

Yuval's voice 🔥🔥🔥 But the song is a little mediocre for me, too bad because I was so excited for this. Hurricane was much better. I need to listen a few more times maybe.

So, now to Yuval and her song for Basel!! :)

As a big ballad fan, I'm happy that a few quieter songs are coming towards the end. For me, Yuval has the most beautiful female voice this year so far, I could listen to her for hours. The song also builds up very nicely and the epic finale gave me goosebumps!!

The song just misses my first :12: because I find the French a bit "unnecessary". I don't know how to say it but it just doesn't add any value to the song in my opinion. So it still gets a good :10: from me.

As it is one of the few real ballads this year, :il: will easily stand out and make it to the final and will also score well in the televoting, but I'm not so sure about the juries for sadly very obvious reasons. 😕

In any case, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Yuval that she will have a great time at the ESC despite all the withstandings from so called "fans"!! 😊
