I rooted for Ella out of the bunch but I'm fine with Eden, it all depends on the entry really... I'm happy we get another female from Israel though, for the past 10 years the Israeli females slayed while the male acts were meh (with the exception of Nadav in 2015). I'm just worried we'll get a "Beyonce-styled ballad" (I like her, but her ballads tend to suck). Can't say anything before the songs are known really.

Eden Alena, it's a little, what would have happened if Beyonce had been a gospel singer

What is interesting, as mentioned by Eden Elena, is the winner of last season's broadcast of X Factor Israel. She tried to put out a single, a good song, a very cute song but couldn't succeed on the radio stations, no radio station and no TV channel interested him in that song.

What’s funny is that after this win, that song finally started airing, it came out over a year ago, so it’s not really relevant. The laughter of fate that will now air her song (to be chosen of course)

This is her only single:

By the way, she also took out this cute cover

It's this kind of wannabe American 2008 safe mid tempo R&B-Pop sound that makes me a bit worried Israel picked the wrong act for Eurovision. Is there any names mentioned for producing/writing the entries for the selection? I hope for something more interesting...

There are no reports of writers / songs yet. I guess it's because of the fact that just this week the winner was announced, and waited for the winner to know who they were writing about. In any case, the selected candidate songs should be released at the end of the month and will be review able

Well, one of the reports / rumors coming out now, Doron Medley. The man behind Golden Boy, made of stars and of course, a toy. May be behind one of the nominated songs. According to Israeli media, he sent a song to the Israeli committee. Will Eden Alene feel Doron's golden touch as well? It will be interesting

Then yesterday the window for sending the songs to Eden Alene's private Eurovision ended. There are songs from some of Israel's greatest songwriters.

As mentioned, Doron Medley who participated in the songwriting of Neta won the Eurovision song, also sent a song that he did not write alone, but with his good friend Idan Reichel. Who was among the guest appearances at Eurovision in Tel Aviv. He also knows how to write hits. He used to have a band called "The Reichel Project". A large part of it comes from the Ethiopian community in Israel, Eden can feel safe when he is one of the songwriters

Also the other half of the song "toy", Stav Begar who also wrote with Neta the song "Basa sababa" sent a song.

You can also find Inbar Weizman, the second half of Kobi Merimi's "Home" song. Also Dolev Ram and Pen Hazut, who wrote Imri Ziv's song "I Feel a Live". Another name found among songwriters. Also Henry who wrote to boaz mauda the song that came in second place in his private promotional "Without you". (2nd place out of four songs) The next star judge, Karen Peles also sent a song. Eden's competitor on the show, Dana Lapidot, also sent a song. As stated, the Israeli committee will screen the songs until February 27, where the songs that enter Eden Alene's private promotions will be published

It turns out that the former Israeli at the Eurovision Song Contest, Kobi Marimi himself, sent a song to the committee. Will he return to Eurovision as a songwriter? It will be interesting

She has a vibe of Shiri maimon, with the right song she can, she can finish in the same place. Maybe even higher

2. Feker Libi (“My Beloved”) - by Idan Raichel and
Doron Medalie (Israel 15,16,18)

3. Savior in the Sound - by Oren Emmanuel, Talia Londoner and Ori Avni

4. Rakata (“Gap”) - by Gal Joe Cohen, Eyal Ishay, Tzlil Klipi and Eran Kashi (Eran didn’t compose it tho)

So we have Idan Raichel who is AMAZING!

And one guy who was responsible as the producer of Toy... could be good...

The rest I dunno who they are but maybe someone could show some examples?

Feker Libi sounds like the frontrunner on name power alone, interpolating the Ethiopian national language into the lyrics is intriguing as well
