I feel like people are kind of underestimating the theatrical side of Doomsday Blue potentially making it more accessible to the general audience.

It has sort of a dark Disney villain-esque vibe to it.

The thing with Doomsday Blue is that is has really accessible parts, and then it turns into something else unexpectedly, which to the untrained ear, can come across quite off-putting because it is so sudden.
Iceland 2019 was less accessible throughout the whole song - but therefore, it had a sudden appeal to people.

I sincerely hope Ireland will reach the final with Bambie Thug and I can definitely see it happen, but I wouldn't be surprised if it flops as well. Crossing my fingers for , even though Doomsdag Blue is not my cup of tea at all.

I can definitely relate to that feeling of embarrassment from almost all of the UK entries this century.
Ireland is making the final without a doubt, top 10 minimum. I wasn't sure about jury appeal before, but I'm more confident about it now, televote is in the bag.
