We won't even give Ireland 12. Possibly 8 at the most but I don't expect that, it's not a special enough song.

I thought you always gave each other 12 or 10  I'm sure you've been saved from last place several times by Ireland's 12s

Ireland tend to give us more than we give back but we very rarely give each other top marks. We only gave Jedward high points because they were on our X Factor and they gave Blue 6

People have that idea that Ireland and UK trade 12 almost every year just cause they're close to eachother but it's not true. Ireland has not given any 12 to the UK recently, only a 10 to Jade, while the UK has given 12 to Jedward in 2011.

That's true, just checked 2012 and 2013. I would have sworn otherwise  How do people get these ideas?

Wow this Kasey is such a quasi diva, or just a wannabe, not sure. Anyway the performance is not as bad as I expected but still not good. It's like let's put everything we can associate with Ireland and make it completely dreadful. Good luck Ireland, yer gonna need it. ;)

It'll easily qualify, beyond that I have no idea.

I was just watching the second dress rehearsal for Ireland and overall I'm happy. It's the most mobile I've seen Kasey while performing it and she seemed somewhat less wooden than usual.

That said the gold background is terribly garish. I think it would have been better if they had started with calm waters and gradually the waves started coming in and it became more chaotic. Also those dancers just feel like they're in the way. It's like Kasey and the dancers are part of two different performances.

Feeling sorta confident about our chances, as long as Kasey can put in a good performance on Thursday. She's not the best singer but as long as she can hold it together I think we'll be in with a good shot.

after dress reharsal/ from Oikotimes

VOCAL PERFORMANCE: Unless it’s the chorus, I don’t stand listening to Kasey’s voice
STAGE PERFORMANCE: The only thing I love is the two males dancing Irish
CAMERA WORK: What 22 cameras can do to help a song that turns monotonous in the end
OUTFITS: Golden gown for Kasey, black dresses for voalists and kilts for the male dancers
AUDIENCE REACTION: Theyseemed to like it a lot! (?)
ESTIMATION: Not in the final with a small precaution

OMG guys, I just watched the final rehearsal and it was HORRIBLE. She was out of tune almost the entire time and was unable to hold any of her notes. She really needs to get her act together otherwise Ireland may be in trouble.

This seemed like such a sure qualifier... until I saw the predictions of people here. I didn't really watch the second rehearsal, except some snippets. So it's really that bad?

YES!

Let's hope they can recover and make the cut. But what I just saw was just painful.

Sorry to hear that about Ireland. I thought it was already 10000 times better than what they sent in the past 3 years and I assumed that it would qualify. I'll have to adjust my prediction then ;)

Hopefully we'll fail and someone at RTE will finally get the kick up the arse we need to start producing quality entries.
