Emmelie de Forrest was waaayyyy more irritating a vocalist than Kasey. I really hope this song doesn't suffer from the curse of "unfounded copy-cat witchhunt" syndrome this year.

I know you meant it, I just haven't seen anyone say that about this year's selection so far. Most of have said It's crap.

I think it's 2012 and especially 2013 that were crap. This year has got a few charming and different songs imo.

Well here's another; this year has had one of the best starts I can remember :D

Considering your past history, I'll take that as proof of my point :p

I think this song has amazing potential to do well. For me it's typical ESC! She has a decent voice and with a better staging with explosive lighting etc...it could do very very well.

Nice song, but I preferred Eoghan, Andrew or Laura. Anyway, I'm not upset at all because the song is growing in me little by little. It's catchy and I remembered the chorus when I had listened the song once...

For me, the best of 'Heartbeat' is the music, the instruments...

I can't remember the last time an Irish entry got this much favourable responses from the European audience just after the NF. Quite delighted and proud tbh! Also I wouldn't worry too much about the staging, I mean they had a little tiny corner of a medium-sized studio to perform in, they obviously can't pull off anything worthy of the Eurovision stage there, at least with a song with as much energy as Heartbeat.

So many 12s, but just 4 from me. It's like a mixture of last years effort and Only Teardrops

I was out with friends, so I didn't catch the Irish NF. For now it's a 12.

Might lower the score - depends whether or not they can perform live.

Hmmm, I actually have been going around humming "heartbeat" while painting the walls of my appartment today... a good sign! This can do really well in Copenhagen!
But as has been pointed out here in the forum, I would also like a short instrumental part in the song. I am sure that could work really well!
