I see you missed a lot in the last couple of weeks. :'D
I'm assuming people are seeing similarities in the fact that Only Teardrops uses ostensibly Irish flutes and drumming. That said, you can't exactly fault the Irish for using Irish instruments, so I doubt it'll be a problem.
Have just watched performance from the NF!
Hmmm...vocals are decent, I was afraid for that part...but it's OK..and I like she is performing this as ballad ans not as uptempo..it makes it special somehow!
I also like idea for dancers, but they need better ones, Ireland always improves for ESC because studio for late late show is too small for any decent performance and it always looks quite bad when performed in that studio..
Considering live vocals I shouldn't give 10/10 cause she is not perfect, but as i gave 10/10 to Poland and I haven't heard her live performance (well I heard but with prerecorded backings which did the best job) I have to give to Ireland the same mark for now..10/10, but hmmm..smth is missing, let's give 9,5/10 for now and second place at my list, and later who knows, it's a long journey to Copenhagen!
Good luck Emerald Isle! Would like to visit that country so much!
What is Can-linn actually?
I was thinking the same. If you search Can-Linn on google images the photos are of Kasey I guess she's the violinist?
I give it 8 points,
and i expect much better stage presentation in Copenhagen.
That's your number 1 now for 2014 If I followed your preferences correctly?
Yes.
What is Can-linn actually?
Hazel said in an interview that Can-linn is a concept. So basically it's everything on stage that isn't Kasey. (The Irish music, dancing etc)
Can-Linn is derived from the irish Cana Linn (probably wrong spelling because I've only heard it not seen it) which means "Sing Together". Hazel said they went to a primary school and got the kids to come up with a name and they choose Can-Linn.
