Maria McCool and Celtic Whisper - Mistaken = 7/10

Interesting, different song with folk elements. I like it, but it's not good enough for Eurovision. It would probably get lost, because it's pretty bland. The chorus is great, much better than verses which are really forgettable.

I liked the first song. Quite eerie. I don't think it would do very well though. I'll give it a 6/10.

Since we're giving ratings, I'll give this 8/10. One of the best ESC songs I've heard so far this year.

These other Irish entries must feel like they are trying to topple a totalitarian government, aka, Jedward's entry.

Track 2 is rather average.

Donna McCaul - Mercy = 8.5/10

Modern, uptempo song. It's catchy as well (especially the chorus), but I miss some originality. Oh, I love the key change (can't help myself ). I sense that it's a grower too. It would probably reach a good placing in Eurovision.

"Mercy" by Donna McCaul is much better than "Mistaken". But I think, it wouldn´t make a good place in Eurovision.

It could do well at ESC. It is quite catchy. Not quite my type of music, but not bad at all. 7/10
