I'm kinda ashamed but this is in my top this year (in STUDIO version that is). The guys can't sing live for their life though

Also this and the Swedish song are quite similar, but I like this more actually, in a weird way it's more grown up (if one looks past the act) and the lyrics are a liiitle bit better, also there's no Kempe schlager sound in it.

Best Irish song since Dervish (yes I liked that one!)

I think the main problem live was definitely a backing singer. I haven't ever heard Jedward sound that horrendous not even when they were on X Factor. Their voices just don't sound like that. I was perplexed through the whole performance.

One of the backing singers must have had a very nazaly voice, everything was like: "She's got her lipstick awwwwwnn, then I'm gawwwwnn"

Very annoying. I'm hesitant to blame Jedward for this (which is a first)

I still dont get why everybody thinks that the Jury will hate this, as if all Jury members are 60+ and love only ballads! It's not true and I actually think that this will get higher points from the Juries than the Televote from everywhere apart from the United Kingdom as I cant see the Eastern European Televotes going crazy for this; I think their fun vote will go for gimmicky entries like Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Everyone should remember that the United Kingdom Jury gave 12 points to Germany in 2009 with a fun act - the Televote gave nothing ;). Im sure it'll be the same for other countries too!

The twins are seriously hilarious, are they gay or it's just an act they put on? They look like comic-book characters

Anyways I dunno if this has been posted yet

I'm sorry but I don't think juries will vote for them. The juries are humorless conservatives. Even if not all of them are 60, they are all like 60 year old bitter gays in their mind who dream of a music world filled by old musicals

They're not gay as far as I'm aware. I don't think they intend to act gay either - their intended persona would be more akin to idiot children hyped up on sugar.

Well as far as I know, the Belgian jury last year were a mix of young or old people but you are right, juries vote for typical eurovision songs or good ballads (like Tom last year)

The Juries voted for Tom Dice because it was an amazing song and he was an amazing singer, not cuz it was a ballad ;). In any case, Me And My Guitar wasnt a typical Eurovision ballad.

As for Jedward, they also have a great, contemporary, pop song, singing is mediocre so I dont see how they're any different to Lena or Alexander Rybak ;). Im quietly confident about Jedward and I think they're going to be the dark horse of the competition - it's pretty clear that one time haters of this song are liking it now, and some even loving it, and it would be my dream for my neighbour country to reach the top-10 - if not then so long as they get into the Final! If they dont, then it will be a great injustice to the boys and Ireland.

^If we are speaking in terms of vocal talent, Alexander Rybak and Lena were able to handle their songs vocally, while Jedward have yet to prove that.

They can handle the song perfectly well, and Eurovision isnt just a competition for vocal ability, that's just part of it. They're song is one of the most modern entries this year, it's a great sounding track, they've been promoting it, they put great energy into the song, always try their best and they're very famous in these islands... nobody hasnt heard of Jedward! :D

^I understand their popularity in the British isles, they worked to establish that despite a lot of negative criticism, however, I'm skeptical that Europe well get them and their song in the one three minute performance they will give. Their vocals wont help them either, the catchiness of their song is lost when it sounds like one big mess. They do have their chances but they need to pull it together big time, imo.

Well I understand if people dont get the song but what has always annoyed me with this is that some people havent even tried to get it - they've probably listened to one chorus once and gone 'oh no, it's horrible this, nil points - they're a disgrace to Eurovision'! People who actually have listened to it have realised it's actually a good song, and have looked past the hair and craziness of their characters.
What gets to me even more is that people love actual gimmick songs like Bosnia and Herzegovina this year, and then write off this song as a gimmick when in fact it's not, and it's just a fun song.
