Couldn't agree more. I don't blame anyone, since I could barely myself sing the lyrics of the song. This feels to me like the most forgotten entry of the year, few people in the fandom really talk about it, few either love or hate it.
Even looking at the reply count of all the country specific threads this year, it has the least at 257 replies.
Last year I felt like Montenegro was the most forgotten entry.
I think that's its problem. Few love it and few hate it, it's just getting forgotten. Which is a death knell for its qualification chances.I like her as a performer way more than the song itself. It isn't bad, but it isn't particularly good either. If it manages to qualify, I think it will be somewhere around 20th place in the final.
4 points.
Disagree, i thought the staging was great. And again: her vocals were some of the best. May be in the minority here though otherwise she would have qualifiedIt's a great song. But the staging is nonsense. She just jumps around and kicks around like it's a videoclip of a teen pop rock song. I don't get why on earth that Icelandic team doesn't see the odds and reception and change things last minute. The vocals were really good if you realize that she only stood still for a few thought out camera shots. More of those would've been nice.
Ofc agree on the vocals but seriously: I can't remember an mid-tempo song were someone without backup dancers or a choreo but just running around like it's an encore/filler song during a concert did good. Look at last year. Greece did just enough, and Andrea of North Macedonia was precisely the same energy as Dilja. Hence NM didn't QF and Greece did (and I liked both tbf).Disagree, i thought the staging was great. And again: her vocals were some of the best. I dont see any similarities songwise, energywise or with the staging to the Songs u mentionedOfc agree on the vocals but seriously: I can't remember an mid-tempo song were someone without backup dancers or a choreo but just running around like it's an encore/filler song during a concert did good.
