Song 1: Ísold & Helga - "Meet Me Halfway"
A ballad to start the night, and we'll sung with good harmony at times. The first verse and chorus are a tad gentle though. It's a pity it took until the second verse to pick up, and the second verse to get really lively; I am concerned how many may have lost interest mid way through the first chorus. I liked the split screen at one point, and the pyrotechnics near the end.

Dathi og Gagnamagnith: Again a competent performance, but there's some cognitive dissonance here for me. I still can't see how this is more than average with pretty cool staging.

Still can't get the hype about Dadi.

I enjoyed his song from 2017, I find their nerdy fashion pretty sympathetic, but this year's song is just there and doesn't manage to stick into my mind longer than the song itself takes

Song 2: Daði & Gagnamagnið - "Think About Things"
I said earlier this sounds like a pop song from the late 1970s or early 1980s. Presumably that explains the faces, which were pixellated early to mid 1980s computer graphics, on the background screens, and the participants' outfits. Not bad, but if this wins tonight, I fear this being stuck in the applicable ESC semi-final.

Nina: I have no idea if this was any good. I thought it was fantastic but that has everything to do with her looks and nothing with anything else.

So I just got here from a disappointing Eesti Laul superfinal ...
Nina isn't bad at all, but certainly not good either... I'm totally indifferent to 'Echo'

Song 3: Nína Dagbjört - "Echo"
Well I think this is the best song so far. It's a beautiful ballad, and Nína has a nice voice. I liked her arm movements throughout the song, and the Big star on the background screen early on. I question the need for the pyrotechnics at the end though.
