Remember when boycotting Eurovision being hosted in Israel sparked controversy across Iceland with a petition being sent to the Icelandic Parliament? A very small population over there, more democracy... seems that when a sufficient number of people are talking about something there (such as plagiarism accusation...), actions always follow.

That Hatari song is absolutely atrocious. Completely unlistenable. That demonic 'speaking' throughout is almost frightening. Iceland can do better than that satanic shit show in leather. Even more so if it's their intention to go to Israel only to cause trouble.

Also, it's so funny to see people call them satanic when I find them so adorable because I've seen so many pictures of them not being Hatari and they are really just normal guys. And people take them far too seriously. They are a satirical act so you shouldn't believe most of the things they say.

It's nothing to do with taking them serious, whether it is satirical or not the entire Aesthetic is one huge no from me and the verses are worse than anything on offer this year. I love a good satirical joke entry as the next person but I find this about as amusing as I would Anthrax.

Who's afraid of Hatari? I used to take a good laugh when people spoke satanic about Black Sabbath, Kiss, Marilyn Manson, Prodigy, Alec Empire, Apoptygma Berzerk, Rammstein, das Ich, Oomph (and good part of German techno/rock acts) when they first appeared. Not to mention all the heavy metal groups (long tradition throughout all Western world and huge amount of them in Scandinavia solely). Did they ever convert anyone sane? Nope, they were just acts. So are these young fellas. Outspoken and very well conscious that theirs is JUST a show. ESC-used fans won't be touched by them.

If they will be chosen, let them sing and, if you wish, ignore the lyrics. Don't feed the animals, if you know what I mean. But: I wish to point out a thing. Singing "hate will prevail" and "Europe will crumble" is a solid fear: I see this not as a satanic mess, as someone said, but as a cry for help. So, let's try to better understand the lyrics of a song before shouting at a scandal. My humble opinion!
