I think that all Yohanna fans will now STFU!! This song was presented very well today. I really liked it. Shame that ESC fans didn't gave them a credit, because they were too busy obsessing over Yohanna. It was very, very good. I am very happy that Iceland qualified! :D

There is always one or two songs in each semi most of the fans didn't like very much ( or at least which is not a big favorite to qualify) which turn out to be very well staged, sung and adorable on eurovision night and this year it was Finland & Iceland!

And of course it took the place of fan favorites who were bad live but fans just won't recognized it and be mad at those songs.

Iceland was cute and effective, i knew it would be in the final, so congrats to them

I really liked the song. I've heard this before the contest but I forgot and then they came on stage I was like "Ooo, Iceland". I supported this and I'm glad it's in the final. Congratulations! ;)

This is one of the biggest surprises of yesterday. And I was very happy about. This song growed on me since many weeks. Great, that Iceland is in the final.

This was the big surprise for me last night. I actually remember thinking they won't qualify after the camera showed them, and I thought Turkey would take the last spot instead. How wrong was I? Great staging last night though, deserved to qualify, unlike some...:lt:

I think Denmark will give Island 12 points, the commentator told us the story about Sjonni and it went straight to your heart!

I'm so happy that they made it to the final! This was one of my favourites yesterday; their live performance was very good. They really deserved this, and I hope they will do good in the final!

That's what I'm thinking. How many commentators told the song's back story? Scott Mills certainly did. I certainly hope that it didn't qualify on this back story alone and rather on the performance (which was pretty good to be fair). Being announced last makes me think it may have been constructed in a way to have the maximum qualifying effect on the viewer. Hmm.

Maybe I'm reading too much into things again

It's a nice little song but really blaaaaaaaaand. The most memorable part of the whole thing was how one of the members kissed another one on the cheek. xrofl3 That was quite a surprise, actually.

The best of luck and looooove for Iceland on the final - I do hope you win.

I loved this song from the first time I heard it, and that was even before I knew about Sjonni, his friends and this songs history.
Just been listning to it in the icelandic version, and guess what... I love that too.
Ég er ástfangin af íslensku - hamingjan má að tala íslensku (and not trying to, by using google translate).

Anyways, there are parts of the music that reminds me of New Orleans jazz. They play this sort of jazz at funerals down there (amazing way to be carried out), and that just makes the whole thing about the song and Sjonni complete.
Besides that the song is absolutely great, I think (as a lifetime esc-fan) that it would just be fantastic for the eurovision history, if Sjonni's song was the winner of ESC2011.

I have recently read about the sad story behind this song, overall I like it, bores the hell out of me but I like it for some weird reason and I am glad they qualified xheart

It was excellent, one of the few well-performed songs yesterday! Should have ended higher, without any doubt! :)
