Re: HUNGARY 2019

Rozina Pátkai - Frida is out in full too, she is a nice discovery of this edition. We now only have a few songs missing, but I think we already heard the winner.
Joci's song is nice, but I don't think it will win. If they make the juries' final4 finally, I think it will be the year of Leander Kills.
Olivér Berkes has a nice song too, he changed "Lighthouse" to Hungarian and it's now called "Világítótorony" I can see it too doing well, sounds like something the Hungarian audience will like. Adding in yesyes, I think the winner will be among these.

Re: HUNGARY 2019

Joci's videoclip is out now.

Translation @missbones
My Father

My father raised me up like the wind
Was blowing silently, singing, telling tales
He lived where every road ended
Even thousand years are not enough
For a life, for a life

I hear him, his heart on the strings,
I see him with the time passing on my face
I proudly carry his beliefs
Of a thousand songs I hum that one

Old days, beautiful days,
I love his memory
He calls and I run to him
It was a beautiful game
Old songs make him come back
I still feel the light of the sun
I still hear the wind blowing
I still hear it in the sound of wind

With a song he chased away my sorrow
What could I give, apart from belonging to him
And to my son I can tell with pride
He is my father and this here is my home

Old days, beautiful days,
I love his memory
He calls and I run to him
It was a beautiful game
Old songs make him come back
I still feel the light of the sun
The wind was whistling a lullaby
To make my dream beautiful
The wind was whistling a lullaby
I can still hear it.

Sounds like Joci's song is About his dad passing away. Reminds me of Michael Schulte and AWS last year, lyrically, not musically of course.

Re: HUNGARY 2019

I guess, it's my favourite entry as well but it's very unlikely for Hungary to submit another heavy rock entry to Eurovision.

I doubt it as well after AWS, unfortunately. :) Fatal Error is another heavy rock entry next to Salvus from Hungary by the way!

Anyway, I am pretty sure that Hungary will send something decent at least. They haven't really disappointed yet and strangely, I think that they have one of the best preselection/national finals nowadays. It's always a great mix of good entries.

Funny reaction video on the A Dal line up by Slashkovic!, the other half of The Middletonz. I like that he’s being a good sport.

Pretty decent line up here and A Dal seems to be in good form!

Am I the only one, or Lighthouse is really a god tier song that can even win the entire ESC?

When anyone says "Am I the only one", the answer is always no. However, Lighthouse has a shot at winning A Dal, but I can't even fathom it getting near winning the contest.

Re: HUNGARY 2019

I have only listened to few selections so far, but this one is my favorite.
Granted, I have only heard 24 or 25 songs that were posted on Youtube, and the rest is missing.

Does anybody here know if there is some other webpage where all full songs are out? Or do we still have to wait until they are all released?

Either way, from what I have listened to, this would be my top 10 list:

1. Rozina Pátkai - "Frida"
2. Joci Pápai - "Az én apám"
3. DENIZ - "Ide várnak vissza"
4. Olivér Berkes -"Lighthouse"
5. Dávid Heatlie -"La Mama Hotel"
6. Mocsok 1 Kölyök - "Egyszer"
7. Gotthy -"Csak 1 perc"
8. Kyra - "Maradj még"
9. Diana - "Little Bird"
10. Acoustic Planet - "Nyári zápor"

Nice to se Joci back. I actually like this song from him more than "Origo", but I´m afraid that this one would not achieve the same success as his previous attempt, since this song sounds a bit too ordinary, where as "Origo" was really tailored for Eurovision stage performance.

Hungary's section is just the best … so many songs I fell in love with! So far I had somehow missed Rozina - also a fantastic song.

Re: HUNGARY 2019

the thing with a dal this year is that while the roster is varied and good, they are all roughly at the same level of good. other than heatline david and leander kills i can't really say anything else is a standout relative to the rest of the field. i would be moderately happy with most of them in eurovision.

please just murder posztolj though it is putrid and the juries need to stop it from winning since it was a hit and the televote will give it points

All songs are out now in full (Gergő Szekér and Bogi Nagy being the last ones to be revealed), and also the 3 minutes versions of songs originally longer (like Leander Kills, Olivér Berkes etc.) are available on the site.

Re: HUNGARY 2019

Man … the section is just amazing … so many wonderful songs! Can't wait for Saturday indeed. Listened now to all Songs. My most favorite is probably still yesyes, but too many fantastic entries here. Also Rozina is growing and growing on me … Salvus is great … Leander Kills, Konyha, Heattie. From the new ones I love Monyo Project or Antal Tímea feat Demko Gergő for now.

Walston x yesyes - Incomplete is now my favorite song of all sections. xrosexheartxlove
