I am not surprised at all, there were too many non-English songs in SF1 for Az én apám to feel unique and that was the only interesting thing about it. We totally deserve this, our NF has become a joke over the years. MTVA needs to get its shit together.

Devastated about the loss of Hungary tonight. Loved it from the start, and tonight's performance was excellent.

I am really sad, that this beautiful and touching song didn't qualify.

I blame it on Hungary repeating exactly the same thing as they did with him before. Some things lose their magic if you repeat more than once.

And some are set on Replay.... The world is not fair... (Though I had Cyprus on my list of qualifiers.)

One of the songs I (and nearly everyone I assume) really expected qualifying tonight... even though I am quite satisfied with tonight´s result, Hungary somehow will be missed in the Grand Final on Saturday (same counts for Portugal)

Worse than his previous entry, but still one of the better ones in this semi and it even grew with the live performance... a pity that these local stuff gets voted out in favor of childish generic Pop in English xcry

If you come back to Eurovision you've got to step it up, not go down notches. A lesson learned by many Eurovision favourites over the years.. Kaliopi, Valentina, Greta Salóme (the list goes on) and now unfortunately Joci joins them. Same thing as before but with less punch is not how to do it. I thought though he'd qualify purely because of how well he did before, but I should have known this would happen. I imagine he was very close. Didn't help him I guess having Georgia there fighting for similar votes. I bet they cancelled each other out.

Yes! This is my same exact sentiment. Plus the idea of this song did not execute well - it was missing the raw intimate emotions that this type of song needs (coincidentally Origo had it but not this one :()
