This is a kind of contemporary song I can actually stomach. The music is good and he's a competent singer. This for now is definitely in the upper half of songs chosen so far this year. The performance is really naff though. He doesn't need all the embarrassing stuff going on around him.

Well I can't find the reason for all these likes....
The song seems to generic to me....it's just another pop balland that's all

4pt from me;)

The song is ok , but i think they have to ditch the dancers, i honestly find dancing to a ballad/melancholic song awkward when a singer is not dancing along with it or not in synch with dancers. They should keep a girl at piano, it looks interesting, but dancers have to go.

I watched the music video first and I found it kinda average. Having seen a small piece of the live performance (are there any full ones that are available somewhere?), I like it more, but I woulda still preferred Running out of Time, so :10: points. :)

I was with you until that last sentence which is really not making sense. What is "too good"?

I'm gonna use Kate Ryan as an example. She's been one of my favorite artists for a long time, but she competed with a song that was kind of "watered down" for the contest. "Je t'adore" was a decent song, but it didn't give me the Kate Ryan feeling, which was a huge disappointment. And it seems like many artists change their style a bit in Eurovision, probably to get votes from a wider audience. Songs I really love (like The Last One) is unlikely to be as popular with the ESC audience, because it's a true dance/house song, which makes it too good for the contest. ;) I could be wrong tho, maybe it could have won in Copenhagen, but I'm not sure a song like this will ever win an NF, so we might never know...

Yeah i think he'll slide into the Final, i hope they improve the show and get rid of the ridiculous unnecessary dancers.

I quite like this song even though I find it a bit too American for this contest, but oh, well, one can't really be too fussy about these things I guess. Song is moody, beautiful enough and well sung by an improbable singer - you'd picture him doing some kind of choreographed light pop if you didn't know better.

It's the lyrics I´m worried about actually. I'm someone who always claims anything can go into eurovision, and surely a thousand litle tunies about love and hope are getting on my nerves, but really, isn't child abuse (pedophily?) a bit too much? I find it all a bit morbid and distasteful and in the end I'm truly shocked, I am.

Is it just me feeling like that and this is a theme like any other for you or are you interpreting the lyrics differently from me? Or is it that you just don't care?

I kind of got the artistic effect the dancers were meant to create (ghostly alter-egos of the singer and pianist) but the disconnect with the rest of the staging just doesn't work for me. The way the girl runs from the piano to the front at the end was really sweet though. I think with some work, this performance could be a highlight of the semi it's in ;)

It's probably the same jury they use for ESC! It smells like that! :?
