Seems like fainting has been fashionable among escunited members those two last days.2
Today, I was volunteering for the people who suffered from the wildfires in Greece. The team I was working with had to package the food and the medicines that had already been collected and place them into the trucks, with which they would be later distributed to the people in need. An easy job, but keep in mind that the work was never-ending, we had to be standing, the room was not air-conditioned and, most importantly, that I had not had a proper breakfast.
Everything was going fine for the first 6 1/2 hours, when I suddenly felt that I was getting dizzy. I asked for a chair but gosh, it just happened so fast!I tried to grasp the shoulder of a man who was standing next to me, so that I could hold on and that was the last thing I remember…
A few moments later I opend my eyes and I was lying on the floor, with two people keeping my legs up in the air, another one holding my head and giving me a bit of ethanol to smell and a fourth one trying to check my blood pressure.
All of the volunteers seemed so concerned about my health, they were asking me if I was feeling alright – bless them!- but all I was wishing for at that moment, was to miraculously dissapear..such an embarassing moment. :?
The only thing I am happy about is that I gave to the people I was working with, the good laugh they were in desperate need of. I mean, seeing an 1,87m, well-built man fainting must be funny…

What a lovely thing to do though for your people. You were the first person I thought of when I saw the terrible news on tv. Glad you're ok and doing some very good deeds. Well done! How close to home were these events for you?
Bless those people for helping you out. I think I fainted from spending too much time in my room that day with only a small window and no air conditioning. Occasionally I get random bouts of vertigo which is horrible and always makes me panic, but I don't faint so I was really scared. I managed to walk forward a bit and fell onto my knees in the back porch room. It probably would have looked really funny if someone had filmed it. Me trying to pour a glass of water from our fridge water cooler before it became too much for me. Such dramatics. I was really bad last night though. I woke up during the night and was sick, to add on top of the fainting palaver. I just wanted to curl up into a ball and die, but I feel a lot better today, though groggy and achy, like that feeling you get during a flu.
I hope you're feeling better now Nikos
