I think that Marina's standards go something like this:

In order to be a songwriter for Marina Satti, you first of all need to understand the Greek language very well. I don't just mean understanding the lyrics of her songs. I mean understanding what those lyrics actually mean. Once you have reached that level of understanding, you can begin to understand Marina as a person, to feel what she feels, and to understand why she feels the way she feels. In other words, you need to have the ability to empathize with her in such a way that when you do write a song for her, it would be almost as if she wrote the song herself.

I think she will eventually go with something she wrote or at least co wrote herself. The trap with Marina is not to go overly artistic, resulting in the esc audience not getting the song. Its amazing when you bring originality to esc, but it needs to be mainstream/accesible too, otherwise it may not translate to points ( see Spain last year ).

In fact I have no idea why they announced this song submission.
She just SHOULD write something herself.
But yes, probably something that would both be original and reach the audiences.

Well, i'm not surprised she turned most of the submitted songs down, we all suspected she already had a few songs of her own she feels confident with, otherwise she would not bother to say "yes" to ERT's proposal. And i highly doubt most of the songwritters really got what her true style is and what she wants to bring to ESC. I heard some rumors that she has a fave, it's co-witten by her and some other artists she collaborates with. Let's wait and see.

You're probably right, but if they don't fit here and shes not happy then she shouldn't accept them.
