I told you this was going to happen!
But it shouldn’t. No pleasure in watching the final. He was far away from being in my top 5, but it’s Greece. I thought it was impossible.

I liked the studio version but the performance was hopeless. Even though I'm sure this was an extraordinary bad year, Greece is on such a strange trajectory. I know Stefania and Amanda had solid results, but that already felt quite out of touch with Eurovision's latest trends and tendencies.

Still disappointed that him and Riley never met or they were avoiding each other after Victor posted stories with at least 90% of the other contestants.
Maybe they will do it on their flight to Copenhagen together tomorrow...

I actually think his vocals and the song were alright, but it really just didn't stand out at all and I get why it didn't qualify!

Αw, this girl from the :ee: delegation was so cute! xheart The greek members were just sitting there. Only his father gave him a hug. :(
Anyway, it was a deserved elimination. I liked the song, but everything else was a flop. But he's very young. If he works a lot and continues to challlenge himself he can be a good singer/songwriter.

Aww, this actually moved me. Nobody in his team reassured him when he failed.

It was just so weird staging and performance, he will learn from this experience.

Maybe now they will finally stop collecting diaspora singers like pokemon and actually send the hit we deserve. You know you can do it, Greece!
He is not diaspora though, he was born and raised in Greece and he is ethnically half Greek. His selection was shady but he wasn't chosen to get points from Denmark.

I thought it was actually good.
After his performance Greece went up in my ranking. I thought he did a pretty good job! Bouncing around was the best possibility to avoid him fainting of nervousness. It also gave more life to a pretty static song. I even didn’t mind his outfit. They only thing that was terrible were the LED images in the background, especially the Grenglish letters.

I see it differently. The greek letzers were the only things I liked about the whole thing. But that‘s me, I‘m a geek when it comes to languages especially when the written form is other than the latin alphabet.

The ditched elimination show goes to prove that executives are just cruel and heartless. Happy for Victor that his NQ got not fully frontally exploited in front of millions of viewers thanks to the fans and Delegations. This kid is probably suffering enough already.

I hope Victor doesn't feel this NQ is his fault entirely. True that the song is a non-event, but the delegation didn't do anything right to give him any fighting chance. The staging itself is a big no, but the way he jumped around singing the song. Coming after Iceland (basically with the same concept, solo singer and prancing around freestyle) and before Poland probably sealed the deal for him.

Greece needed Habibi by Despina this year. Now that would have been a killer.
:mad::LOL:

By the way, I’ve just listened to Liar and… in Greek it would have been perfect!

I didn't care much for this song before the live shows, but the song came across really well to me last night thanks to his energy and actually was one of my favorites. Very sweet and sincere.
