Apparently they wanted to send the Hannah Montana duet song actually but they decided to withdraw.
They probably read some comments online and decided it's better for their careers to not compete with such a week entry.

I can't believe the juries wanted to submit that song to ESC....surely there must have been better and more competition entries in the competition...especially after Greece finished Top 10 twice in a row now.

Given Cyprus and Denmark are in this semi (greek diaspora artists haved done very well with their birth country in the last two editions) this bland song might scrape in

Ι cant believe that Im saying but I actually prefer the atrocious duo over this, it was more melodical and catchier than this mess.
Im hoping in a major revamp, they cant be that clueless to leave it like that ( well they can, its ERT, but theres hope )

Last Dance is one of the most generic top 10 songs I've ever heard. So it's not like Greece seems to be looking for ground-breaking entries.

Last dance is my favourite greek entry of the last 10 years, has everything, melodical verses, epic pre chorus and a silly dancey retro chorus xheart

It certainly has its qualities (not least the singer!), but it's also extremely generic. It's so generic that it's almost innovative.

Oh, so that means that if these two ladies had not had the dignity to withdraw, ERT would have sent them to Liverpool.

They did have a better song than Victor's tho :xo:

The big question is... Why not Melissa? They saw that it was people's clear favourite.
Damn ERT jury, consisted of 70 year old people, and their allergy to anything uptempo. Not that Im going crazy over the snippet, but it was obviously superior to the other 2 in terms of hit and top 10 potential

I think Melissa's song is pretty basic too. I expected more tbh. Plus she can't dance. But since she was the people's fave, i agree that she should have won the selection. And yes, this jury, consisted of eltist boomers, has to go.

Well, let's put it nicely. It was definitely not a briliant selection of songs for ERT this year. Even Leon's and Klavdia's submissions were standard and middle of the road according to people who had the chance to listen to them. xshrug

When are they going to release the actual song, not this piece of...? I mean, the real version of the song?

Melissa is taking legal actions because apparently:
a) the jury didnt vote at the same time, but 1 month after the public, so they knew the public results.
b) the duet withdrew after the negative reactions to the leak, but ERT didnt vote again between the 2 remaining contenstants, but still gave points to a song that wasnt in the running, lol.

So much drama. Chaos!

If she somehow wins and ends up representing Greece, ERT will definitely stand behind her and look forward of staying 2 Weeks with her in Liverpool.

The duo was already out when it got 720 points while Melissa got 400something and was still in? 🤣 damn they really didn’t want her to win
but still gave points to a song that wasnt in the running, lol.

Who hell was on that jury

Some people who may be successful, each one in their own field, but as it's been proven, completely unsuitable for the duites they were assigned. Not only because of their biases against music genres and their outdated concept of what ESC is all about, but also because of their weak character, as they were unable to resist against the pressure put on them by ΕΡΤ's administation in favor of one specific submission. And i'll just leave it here.

Why are People doubting the same People who gave us "Die together" and "Last Dance"?
