Really? It very much sounds like any number of copy and paste anthemic mid-tempo ballads with the firework curtain at the end.
I would agree that there is similarities between 'Honestly' and 'Voices'. But I'm not the biggest fan of those songs, and I don't regard "anthems" as a typical Scandinavian type of song. Maybe "anthems" just work well in televoting contests - let's see if Portion Boys can pull off a surprise in the UMK.

Maybe not in general chart terms, but when it comes to the songs that seem to be pushed constantly in MF/NMGP/DMGP that style seems to be the largest represented in recent years.

Maybe - but if a handsome young guy is standing on the stage with his guitar singing a soft quiet pop song without any anthemic elements, then people are yelling "that's so typically Scandinavian". I think it's hard to say what's a typical Scandinavian Eurovision song. It's very diverse, which is why the contests in Norway, Sweden and Finland are superior to other contests.

There isn't much "standard Scandi-pop" about Honestly.
I can recognize its Scandinavian origin even with closed eyes, not knowing who sings this song.

I predict this is gonna be like the kind of X-Factor winner's single that an artist like Oscar Zia would perform at Melodifestivalen and it would be hyped despite being pretty standard Scandi-pop...

Really hope Kontopoulos or some random russians* from the Horror Team won't be involved in this for a change...

I do smell a jury bait coming in at 1 - 2 - 3 though but could be wrong... I really hope I can truly stand behind a Greek entry again, Last Dance was alright, 2018 was really great, but I miss the fun Greece in Eurovision which last time was 2014

I miss the fun too!
It wont be a fun entry. his song is an anthemic, emotional ballad about stress and self doubt

Dont have big expectations for the songs, but he sounds incredible and seems very jury friendly

Aw, what a precious bean. Seems to be a bit nervous as he hit some wrong chords in that particular video, good thing he will not have to worry about that at the ESC. Curious about his song!

Panik Records is a great company. They usually know how to do their job.
