By far the worst song in Greece's history in ESC. This is in bottom 4 of all 43 songs! We don't deserve a place in the final this year. There are much better songs that deserve to be in the final! Zero pts!

It's not that bad. It's not something amazing of course but it's a good one. It won't qualify anyway.

I feel entirely the same way, I also feel the same way about my own country this year.

"What's the pressure" the worst song Belgium ever sent? Do you seriously think it's worse than stuff like "Copycat", "Would you", "Love power", etc?

Well, I've only been watching Eurovision since 2012, but I think it's highly annoying and I was very frustrated my favorite song didn't go on represent my country at Eurovision.

Well, a TV channel (especially state owned) is certainly not completely independent from the general economic situation, isn't it?

Yes, it's not completely independent but even if they have a lot of staff, ERT is almost profitable, and Eurovision is its most watched programme, up to 80% viewing rates!

Being almost profitable means that they need funding from null he state right? That was my point.
Or let me ask differently: what does Greece right that Romania didn't? Or if you prefer: what does ERT right that TVR didn't?

After what has happened with Romania I honestly am surprised how Greece, being the country that is notoriously deep in debts, can afford to take part in the ESC.

TVR owes money to the EBU, not the Romanian government. Just because the Greek government owes money doesn't mean that ERT is owing money to the EBU as well.

This could have been a good track but it somehow goes nowhere.
Some points for Greek language and the music though (the first 30 seconds). I don't expect this to trouble the final top 10, but it will make it there!

4 points

In such a tough semifinal, it surely doesn't deserve to steal some other song's qualification.

When I heard the first part of it, I really had a wow effect (till today btw) but when the chorus sets in, it's like a icy shower. All the magic of the ethnic elements - gone. And it's getting worse afterwards. The rap is awful! sorry, I really think this should stay in the semi.... And that's even worse cuz it's in greek and I give an extra point for any song that is brave enough to use its own language.

First Rehearsal Impressions of Greece

Currently we have no sound for ARGO yet, but the staging for their entry Utopian land looks picture perfect.

With an Explosive Gold and yellow swirls in the backdrop, the Greek team have come to Stockholm with a full on routine for the journey to their Utopian Land.

Because of that, their 3 minute performance does not bore at all, and leaves a pretty good impression already.

For Eurovision, ARGO have teamed up with Vasilis Roxenos, a dancer who is specialised in Pontiac dancing.

Looking good, now if it sounds good too, there's no reason to think Greece wouldn't make the finals once more.

A surprise to keep an eye out for.

Bonus

It looks much better than I expected! But I think they'll still struggle due to the bad song...
