Ok, opinions just...differ! I was there and he was... uuuuh.... :?
Well, someone singing well or bad is not really an opinion, but a fact
Other thing is you like o dislike a specific voice

sakis is a category for himself :?But it is true that this is the weakest Greek entry since Sakis first time.
Ok... someone who knows more than me on music can prove me wrong then!
But i do not feel like i have to own a PhD in music in order to state an opinion!
i would say it is a factNothing subjective is a fact. Even if you can hit correct pitches and notes it doesn't necessarily make you a 'good' singer in practice.

u can always tell if someone is trained in singing (and more often, if someone isn't 2), there are objective elements upon which u can make that judgement.
however, will u like the singers voice or singing style is a completely different story (will u say that is a good singer, in short). that part is completely subjective
Which is precisely my point. Correct notes can be recorded and objectified but whether I think someone is a good singer or not has nothing to do with their technical ability. It's an artform, it's not meant to please everybody.
And this was exactly what I was saying :?
Martakis sounds to me like he's singing with full mouth. He pronounces "s" as "thshhhhh". No matter if he hits the correct notes, he still sounds bad
