Re: GREECE 2012
I don't think we will see her this year for two reasons. If she had intentions, I think they would have saved "Remembering the Summer Nights" since it is a Eurovision style song. But the biggest reason I don't think we will see her, is because I think that Sony Music Greece (her label) is putting all their support and efforts behind Ivi Adamou for Cyprus this year. I could be wrong though, but it would explain the rumors that say Sony was not interested when contacted by ERT.
This is my personal wild speculation now, but has anyone thought about maybe Eleftheria Eleftheriou as a candidate? The rumor was that Universal Music Greece was very interested this year, and Eleftheria recently moved there. She said she left Sony because Universal made a very good proposal to her. Eurovision offer possibly?
+1 to what you said.
Remembering the Summer Nights would rock Eurovision!!! If Nikki was gonna go in Eurovision, she would save it for that reason! It's a 100% Eurovision song! I won FSC with this song!!
+ It would not be a good idea for Greece and Cyprus to send two girls from the same music style, like Ivi and Nikki. I'm not sure about Eleftheria, though. She's a nice singer, but I don't think she's a good performer, and her English accent is not the best. She improved from 2010, as you can hear in this song, but still if she goes, she has to sing in Greek better.
But again, her style is similar to Ivi, they are both Cypriots, and this wouldn't be good for any of them. I prefer a band for Greece this year, like Melisses or Kokkina Halia.
Why Greece is not considering Greek artists, and wants to send a Cypriot every year (Anna Vissi, Sarbel, Loucas Yiorkas, Nikki Ponte, Eleftheria Eleftheriou, Valando Tryfonos, Triimitonio...)?
