Lowkey happy it ended up so high, the live performance really elevated it. It stood outside my top 30 before this week even. Well done Germany!!

WOW! Shocking results. But pleased for Germany. I mean best results since 2018.
Good job Isaak. His vocals definitely is the selling point. I hope the Germans are elated for the results.

Had this in my bottom 5 on the night. Good vocals and song but nothing amazing, good for Germany for not finishing last though.

Well, I congratulate him for the good performance. I still stand by my opinion though that the song is average at best and the televote shows that in my opinion. xshrug

Well, these are quite good results for a song which didn't have a lot of promotion and was totally ignored by betters, which put it dead last.

Germany wasn't a last place entry, never has been, this year. I was certain of this even before Eurovision started. I didn't expected a 12th Place, obviously, but I'm really happy for Isaak.

I was completly mistaken with my Germany prediction. I thought the song was another middle of the road attempt but his vocals were not deserving of last place so i'm actually glad that Germany not only managed to escape that against all odds but also ended on the left side of the scoreboard (a fourth year with a disaster result would've been too depressing). And with an artist who wasn't ashamed of posing with his flag country.xclap

I still hope for a catalyst of change in your approach to the contest. Be proud of your language, maybe bring some of your unique over the top humor (c'mon, you're the country of Dschinghis Khan, Guildo Horn and freaking Stefan Raab)...there's so much potential wasted on these cheap copy songs.

Oof, don't know how to feel about this. I mean, it's nice for once to see us on the left side of the scoreboard and I'm happy for Isaak and that the juries awarded his performance (wasn't as strained and more controlled unlike in the semi final), but I always have a hard time accepting a result when the disparity between jury and public voting is this huge. Guess it kinda evens out (singer great, song not so much), but eeeeh...

Really learned to love the bridge tho, had a nice energy.

Absolutely fantastic choice of people!

We've got three musicians:
- one "ethno"/Schlager
- one indie-pop artist
- one rapper

and two people who work as professionals behind the scenes:
- one radio boss of one of the biggest radio stations in Germany (WDR2, WDR4)
- a publisher/who worked for a record company

I think it's important to get a balanced jury for Eurovision since we got so many different genres and styles on stage.

Every time a country decides to just ask former Eurovision participants or people above 50/60 to rank the songs, I'm furious.
But the 12 goes to Sweden 🌚

I know! That was the most annoying second of the entire voting sequence.

Germany has a special bond with Sweden! ;)
Look how many times Sweden was in the German jury‘s top 5? Almost every time for decades, often even at 1st.

That said, ISAAK, YESSSSS!!!

I screamed every time I saw points for Germany on the scoreboard. I think the first points we got were like 7 and I gasped. It was almost a shock. And then almost every time we got points, it was so unreal!

I am so happy for Isaak! I loved the song from the beginning and I have always said from day 1 that this won’t come last and that it will do quite well!

@mauve
so… what do you say about my prediction powers? The Gustaph-whisperer stroke again :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Can you predict next time a top 10 result? No really, my guess was 18 at best. 12? Was rather a nice dream. But I hope that NDR now doesn't think that they got a good recipe. Don't want next year to return to our usual: "Sorry Germany, zero points."
