Song 9: Max Mutzke – "Forever Strong"
This is what I’d call a soul type song. To an extent, this reminds me of Belgium’s ESC 2022 entry. Max sang the first two instances of the chorus in a powerful manner, and they have a good beat to them. There is also a beat, accompanied by various difficult to describe sounds during the second verse. The bridge deserves a special mention; I like the high tempo beat here, and the manner in which Max sang the lines in this part of the song. The final instance of the chorus differed from the earlier instances; I would say this acts as an outro. I like the way Max sang the final word of the final line “ѕtrong” in a rather elongated, and powerful manner, just like the preview video. Tonight's performance made extensive use of red on the background screen (I'm mystified as to why red was chosen), along with white light beams at times. An OK song, but not a winner.

Jeez - last year at this point, there were at least ten better songs from the national selections. Germany 2024 not changing this.

I love this NF because of Barbara. She is the best, absolutely love her!
As for the songs, I'm hoping for a Marie Reim win. But won't be upset if any of the others win… None of the songs are worth getting upset over TBH
