Why don't you send something in German next year? Maybe something folk? Or industrial metal idk?

Mediocre songs will not get you anywhere, you should take risk. Every year the most boring entries come from Germany :?

In the meantime, just for fun.

One of my absolute favorite moments in the history of the ESC. The end of the German National Final in 1991, hosted by Hape Kerkeling, who reacts deadpanned after the audience is rejecting the winner.

Obviously playback, but I like the camera work here way better than in the national final. Especially the part around 2:00 looks nice, with the cameras circling around them instead of them walking round on a moving platform.

Miss the days when German entries had performances in popular TV shows on ProSieben instead of Fernsehgarten... :(

The girls did well in the Spain pre-party. The song grew on me, but I still don't think it's the best choice for Germany this year.

Actually Sisters were the best of German national final. The only other good option was Makeda.

Hell ... just saw all the performances from the pre-parties (Moscow, Madrid) and have to say that Germany is among my top 3 next to Georgia and Iceland. Right now, I even like sisters more than our last year's entry. Stunning. Gives me goosebumps!

The German act is the only one (out of 41) who hasn't been introduced with a professional pic in the booklet of the official CD.
It seems that NDR has already been saving some money :D

Sorry for a little OT, but I have to go back to a discussion we had during the interval act of Lena during the German NF in this thread, just to be fair to Lena Meyer-Landrut

i used to really like lena but i since i interviewed her once i cant help but find her horrible.

I remember with horror her encounter with Frank Elstner in 2011.

spill the tea, what did happen?

Hard to describe, but she was very, very disrespectful and Frank Elstner was very, very polite til the end.

In a talk show a few days ago, Lena was confronted with the video of the conversation with Frank Elstner 2011. She was shocked to see how she had behaved at the time and described how much stress she had during the ESC 2011 and that she was completely overwhelmed in those days.
