:2: points for another dead last place in the televoting when it comes to Germany's history in the Eurovision Song Contest.

I can't believe we didn't choose either "Surprise" or "Wear Your Love". Germany is indeed sabotaging itself in Eurovision. What a dull and bland and generic track. I can't see anyone voting for it in May. It's a little cute track but kinda boring as hell. - I am still shocked it won the German national final.

It is really funny how you ranked the same my number 2 - Germany and my number 3 this year Russia! You gave 2 to both of them.. and I actually see some similarities between these two brutally amazing entries.. :)

Have I mocked your number-one yet? :D - I bet tastes beg to differ :D
Oh, are there any similarities? Maybe that's why I don't like them that much :D

To be fair, most of NDR's and Germany's staging are horrible. Cascada's dress and these stupid steps weren't brilliant either... or Elaiza's performance...

It just makes me wonder that Germany seems to not want to be represented by contemporary, modern and progressive pop songs. We usually end up choosing radio-friendly and bland tunes.

Gregorian, Avantasia, Unheilig, Faun would have been great options as well... their entries weren't exceptionally brilliant but they were completely different and would have stood out in Eurovision.

It's been ages since I read this thread so I was catching up today and well, I just had to reply you. Those options were really some of my faves those years, like, they're all REALLY good songs, with something different that made them stood up for themselves. And they all lost to bland, harmless and "safe" pop songs (always "in my honest opinion", of course). As a big fan of German language music (especially from Germany), it really saddens me that this country doesn't dare to send something different. How is it possible that year after year Germany's the only Big 5 country that doesn't seem to think their music or their language is worth it, or that people wouldn't like it because they don't understand it. Even that people don't like how German sounds.

I'm very happy that you guys like the song, and I'm happy you did SO well last year with Michael, but that doesn't change the fact that I'd love for Germany to embrace what they/you could offer and just take a risk for once.

Ok, rant over

The decline of airplays over just four weeks is astonishing! If it continues that way, it won't be on german radios by mid-april.:?

Everytime I listen to this I love it more!

This will do a lot better than people think (just like Germany last year)

Cannot wait for the new betting options (to make top 10, etc.)

This year's Expert Panel takes the form of video reviews. What did the ESC United staff and contributors think of Germany's entry this year?
