Re: GERMANY 2019

Tbh, the full song of "Wear Your Love" is SO much better than you would think from the preview. It's modern, catchy and somehow quite different from everything we've heard until now in Eurovision. I would even say that the verses (especially the first one) have got some mysterious vibes in it.
Don't really see the comparison with eastern european entries, I would see it rather as an entry a country like Belgium or Norway would pull off.

Right now I think it is between Aly and Linus with the audience going for him and the juries (hopefully) going for Aly. But then again Linus with this radio friendly song has more potential to get something from the juries while Aly is probably ignored by the audience just like the brave entries from last year got overlooked. Aargh I'm going to be so disappointed tomorrow:D

I don't think that the public is going to go for him after we had such a success with Michael last year. I think they would rather go with Linus as his song is very much the sound that you can hear on German radio. Hopefully juries will save this and pick Aly

Re: GERMANY 2019

The german audience wasn't always going with the middle of the road songs in the past, Cascada also won the televote instead of Söhne Mannheims for example. So I'm actually not really that afraid about this issue. At least I hope so :D

The problem is that Aly Ryan is completely unknown in Germany. The others aren't super famous but I believe their fanbase is bigger given that they're coming from other casting shows or are active on youtube or whatever. That has me worried. And honestly I also can't see Aly reaching the casual viewers who're probably too old for a song like that. :D Good thing is that the juries have bigger impact. Despite finishing low on televote, Xavier Darcy and Ryk both made Top 3 last year ahead of Voxxclub and Ivy.

Haven't heard Linus yet, but his voice remind me too much of Bieber and co … not my Thing. I hope Germany will vote bold and daring and take Aly … or Lilly (hope she has a good song). But disappointment is my second name this ESC.

Well, we still haven't heard Lilly. I wouldn't be surprised, if we're getting a result like this: Aly wins the Jury, but little to no audience love; Linus wins the audience, with bit of Jury love; Lilly wins the NF, because she's getting enough love from both sides... ;)

I was about to write something similar. We still don't know how many conservative Germans are going to watch/vote, because they won't vote for Aly. As younger the audience, as bigger the chances she could win this ;)

The Winner will have 100K+votes, so Fanbases matter 0 here.

We definitely needs something up-tempo in this poor Eurovision selection, so I'm rooting for Aly Ryan, hoping she'll be great at performing.

Re: GERMANY 2019

Here's Aly's interview with the German ESC Fanclub. According to Aly, her mum sent her application two years ago, but she couldn't take part, since she had a contract with another producer at the time. Now, she's a "free" artist and joined the NF right away. The interviewer asked her, if she, a considered favorite, feels more pressure. She answers that she hasn't seen her own or the other performances yet. She also mentioned that she doesn't considers herself more a favorite than the others. She says that all seven artists are definitely having their fans/followers....
Despite her success, she seems just so grounded!

I dont think anyone could beat Aly concerning the visual thing and its such an important thing these days. The music video looks super expensive.

Linus and Gregor are both absolutely tragic. Avoid at all costs... urgh. Makeda is okay .. but boring, avoid.

BB Thomaz is kinda messy but good, I like it. Doubt she has a chance though. Aly Ryan good as well ofc.

Need to hear Lilly.

"Wear Your Love" is a banger. We have to send this. xheat:lol:
Gregors Song is a decent ballad, but nothing special. BB would be my second favorite atm. :D

(Still waiting for Lilly ofc. :))
