Hate to point that out, but we have to learn something from this result:
Ann-Sophie had 29 points last year (5 from televote and 24 from juries).
Now we have 11.

And even the biggest pessimist didn't think we could sink below last year's result.

Didn't Ann Sophie have 0?

We scored more from televote than last year...
I'm not really disappointed (low expectations), but I hope
Jamie-Lee wont get shitstormed :(

Giggles, I love my home country but this was a deserved last place. Learn your lesson NDR/ARD. This is your opportunity to change your Eurovision path.

This was well deserved, such as last year's score. Germany is not giving even %1 to Eurovision. All the songs in national finals were so bland, so boring. Where is the country with the best club in the world? Where is the creative spirit of Berlin? Nothing new, nothing innovative is coming. You won't be in top 10 by sending The Voice winner or a boring nobody every year. The German delegation is not looking for the Eurovision-worthy talent.

The problem I see is that it is not so much NDR/ARD who needs to learn the lesson. The voters do. Every year they have better options, and every year they choose the "save bets", the voice or wildcard winners and ignore that the songs are not ESC-winning material.

The NDR could do a few things better, but it would not make a decisive difference. Jamie-Lee made an offer, the voters chose her, and she delivered exactly as promised. She is not to blame either. I just hope the public leaves her alone and does not try to push their own responsibility on her back.

Did like the song and didn't deserved last place at all. I didn't really mind the clothing but it clearly influenced the outcome. So sorry for you guys!

This was very predictable. It's not that the song is bad, but it just really goes nowhere. It's too middle of the road.

I VOTED FOR YOU!!!! I think, Austria has given Germany 2 points in the televote (according to Andi Knoll).

I wouldn't call the song mediocre, there were worse beyond doubt, including various overhyped songs. The performance was good, but the song itself was also a bit downbeat, people normally want more drama or energy in this contest, or a warmer sound.

I could see this coming, lol. :p

People don't understand her style, it's that simple. It's not that she were bad, sung bad or had a bad stage setup. It's just the fact that people couldn't relate to it. I hope she understands this and don't take it too personal. in Japan the appreciation for her would be much bigger, but not in Europe. THAT's the problem.

Jamie, keep doing what you're doing. You got 10 points from European televoters, that means there is a scattered fanbase out there who appreciate what you are doing. Don't disappoint them.

Well deserved last place, undeserved 11 points... It should have been zero.

I blame the costume 100%. She could have done even a little better if she had done decent more traditional styled Japanese clothing rather than the ugly decora kei.
