Not that it matters, but were currently on 31 in the odds
That's the lowest position so far...

In case Nina doesn't make it to the final tonight and I'll die watching it happen I promise to appear in Stockholm and volunteer to the german delegation as Jamie-Lee's ghost. I'll do the best I can to boost her result. xshifty

After seeing tonights performances I'm actually quite confident about us doing better than expected.

Exactly what I thought. Everyones is so into their choreography and Staging ( except The Netherlands). Jamie-Lee will be refreshing and just fun to watch. She delivers that sweetness that is still missing and at the same time that kind of mysterious vibe. Her song is so different from all the others. She will definitely stand out. If this gets last, it would be a joke. Top15 at least.

I wonder how our "hologramms" will look like.
Will it be something similar to Armenia from yesterday? Because it looked very impressive.
But it seems to be more like a projection from the camera then real hologramms.

So far the staging of the acts is in most cases very good, but only a few entries like Austria or The Netherlands can convey real emotions, which is really sad.
This could be Jamie-Lee's big advantage. Nevertheless I expect a place between 20 and 26.
At the end we will have most of the Big 5 countries combined in the bottom 10. Spain and UK might be also contenders for last places.

Unfortunately it's too far the other way, in my opinion. I always forget Germany's song is taking part and I feel it's going to be lost in the first half...

Hope never dies
I guess all of the Germans in here would already be happy if we could escape the bottom 6

Video from today's first dress rehearsal:

Comment from ESCKAZ:
Pink lights in Jamie-Lee's dark forest is good decision. Performance works better for arena. Still boring on screens.

Just hope that the feeling will be a bit better when the arena is full.
No sentence about holograms. Maybe they were added only for tonight's performance but as we know our broadcaster it will be most probably an unrecognizable gimmick...

Jamie-Lee sang "Ghost" unplugged (only accompanied by a guitar) at a reception at an embassy (I do not know what embassy, it only says "Botschaftsempfang" in the video description):

I enjoyed this very much although I have heard "Ghost" already so many times. The vocals are again flawless!

There are two more videos with songs from her album:
The Last Dance
Berlin

I like both of those songs very much, I would even say they are just as good as "Ghost".
That girl might really have a music career ahead of her.
(...and she shouldn't worry about the expected bottom rank at ESC final.)

Uhm wow maybe my expectations were really low but I actually love it!
Still not a fan of those green lasers though.

I love it too. Not too much, just a crazy girl singing a beautiful song. And I wasn't bored a single second. If she finishes last, that's it, at least she can be proud of her performance.

Well, it IS indeed a very tricky one to anticipate. Germany's been lurking about in the bottom half for some years now, with one huge exception in 2010 where they were actually a favorite AND didn't fell prey to the pressure. But, on the other hand, they were also ONE of the favorites in 2013 and fell hard (the staging and nerves were apparently the main issue there).

This one is "epic enough" to win the whole crap, but for some reason, Germany seem to be either hit-or-miss when it comes to winning Eurovision. They also seem to do better with the juveniles (Mekado, Nicole and Lena, etc.). Is it the accent? The innocence? I don't know.

Realistically speaking, around 8-12th place seems valid. It deserves a better fate than ending up on the second half of the scoreboard. Come on... It's unique enough to compete with the other faves. Will probably also end up fighting for votes between Hungary and Poland. Hopefully, they can steal votes from Russia too!
