That's definitely not the whole truth. There were lots of people who voted for them because they liked the song and because these girls are really cute and charming. The audience always loves underdogs. It was not the song itself which made them winners, it was the whole performance. If they can carry the spirit of the NF to Copenhagen they'll have a chance for a good placement. If they can't create a magic moment they will go down tomorrow.
And let's be honest: it's never just about the best song, it's about the combination of a good song and the artist; the most important things in every artist are authenticity and credibility. Authenticity is one of the main reasons Lena won in 2010. Not just because of "Satellite" and certainly not because she was the best singer.
IMHO Elaiza are very authentic as well. Compare it to Cascada: there was no authenticity at all and that's why they sucked - not just because of the song.

Elaiza have to perform between Austria and Sweden? The song is incrdibly boring to begin with, but now it'll be smashed between Austria and Sweden. No chance for a decent placement anymore, because this song is so forgettable. It might be an achievement for our entry to not finish last

The draw isn't that bad when you think about it ... people will tune in for & they might see as well! "Is it right" still does very well on itunes ... not only in Austria and Switzerland ...

I wouldn't worry about the draw. Just because two popular ballads come before and after Germany will not affect its odds, totally different songs and styles. People are smart enough to like two or three songs in a row, it happens all the time.
That being said, I still expect Germany in the Bottom 5 as the song is incredibly weak, after the disastrous NF we can only blame ourselves though.

I don't know if Santiano really had better chances. I really like them, but maybe in this field they would look a bit infantile.

Matt: After the glamorous Conchita this seems a little less exciting. And they get all tangled up the the streamers during the last chorus. I don't know about this one and whether or not the juries will go for it.
Ahmet: Average performance and I think she was too serious, she didn't smile enough the way like she usually does. I didn't feel the energy.

How badly did getting tangled up in the streamers hurt them vocally :?
I know it kind of hurts the overall impression a bit but this isn't one of the favorites and I would hate it if they used this as an excuse to rank them lower then they might have before

After I've heard that we have to perform between two strong acts I gave it up to hope that we'll be doing better then bottom 5...
But I like them very much besides the final result!

Matt: Ruth is on fire...well actually she's quite wet (part of the effect). Beautiful stage, the rain effect is great and she gave it her all. The juries will be very happy with that performance.
