I understand that, and it is such a shame that Iriao, Oto or Tornike didn't make it to the final. Fantastic songs in my eyes!
Tornike´s 2020 song was somehow a guilty pleasure, imo but his performance of "You" was utterly horrendous and definitely one of the worst moment of Eurovision. That performance was painful to watch.
Oto, however, was vocally impressive and submitted a very challenging and different song - he deserved to qualify (I still can´t believe that
and
did not advance to the final in 2019 but trashy songs like
or
did)
Iriao were lowkey interesing (I didn´t really like the song back in the day, though) but at least, it was showcasing some cultural aspects of the country ...
but let´s be fair... none of these entries mentioned above were really competitive.
Iru´s got some potential (vocals) and she´s aware of Eurovision (JESC participation, singing to winning entries at The Voice) - it would be great for
to finally be back in the Final after so many years - even though I somehow adore them being "different, brave and artsy-fartsy", they should opt for something more contemporary and competitive this time.
