This is absolutely immense. I've been left shaken from it all. That final chorus is the moment of the year. It's so sublime. So epic. We've had our share of powerful things at Eurovision, but Take Me As I Am is a colossal experience. From the get go I'm under its woozy 90s grunge command as Tornike offers me a lot of things on a plate, but things quickly take an absolutely brutal turn when our Georgian suddenly loses his hair (quite literally) and starts screaming these same offers of Italian fashion and Spanish dance moves right into my face over wild electronics, like he's the musician equivalent of a hooker who's finally had enough of being told what to do. Tornike is gonna swing round that pole HIS way. The song is dark and bites really hard. It's probably gonna piss quite a few people off who don't read into what it all means a bit clearer. Overall it's a positive message and understandable plea. Simply take Tornike as he is. Love him. He loves you.

The chorus is simply ginormous. Euphoric that second time around with it when the strings and horns come in adding a splendour to the urgency and madness of it all. It takes the experience to otherworldly levels and moved me real hard (I might have watered up a bit). The production is incredible. The dizzy guitar. That smacking beat. The seductive synths. The imma take you to heaven now orchestra. And most importantly, Tornike himself. Wow... What. A. Voice 🙌

You know how much I enjoy my Georgian boys Oto and Nika, and always will? They just got toppled though. Take Me As I Am is the best Georgian entry ever. It's shockingly good. I was speechless for a while but thought to myself I gotta force myself to write something here so you could all think "aw bless, he's having one of his special moments". Perhaps the sexiest three minutes of my life. Thank you once again Georgia for being the best. For being you. My expectations were incredibly high and you delivered beyond what I could have hoped and wished for. What a triumph. 12 Points.

Wow I love Georgia for doing this. They dont care about results, they wanna show what music is in Georgia and all the diversity there is! I love it and this will go to the final. It's more appealing than Georgia 2019. Amazing and :10: points from me!!

I love how the lyrics are literally Georgia speaking to the rest of Europe after not qualifying for 3 years 😂 "Why dont you love me? Why do you want me to be like Italy/Spain/France/England??"

I expected perhaps a little better after that ultrapromising snippet, but still, wow, this rock going borderline metal is what this year's edition desperately needed. It's very good.

My first impression is an :8:, but I suppose it's going to be a grower :)

@RainyWoods

Every word you wrote is so true. I mean, I wake up in the morning, still believing that the song will be released at afternoon. It WAS already out. First shock. And the second shock folloed when I heard the song. I was truly shaken. Speechless. Every moment of the song fits. The voice, the guitar, the beats, the lyrics. People might misunderstand them, but the lyrics are actually perfect for ESC in my eyes. The verses and oh the chorus. Guess I need a while to understand what's happening right now. I loved Georgia's entries for many years. Oto was simply amazing and it hurted that he didn't get the recognition he deserved. But Tornike's song is ... a different level. I read somewhere 90's vibes. Don't think that at all. It's new and fresh and not just a rumination of earlier genres such as grunge. Simply love and adore it.

Guys Im starting to believe in top 10 here for Georgia???
It would be what Tornike definitely deserves, but I am not certain if the song appeals to the people and to the Juries. I am just keeping my fingers crossed that he will make it to the final. At least it will stand out, that for sure.

I heard you all be happy and I know I normally agree with most of the people who like this song here, but this is really bad.

Screaming and shading the Big 5. I love it.

LOL! Now that you said it.

I am shook. It's not my kind of song, but it's definitely very authentic.
As most of you mentioned, Georgia is unapologetic for sending what they want. I always applaud their courage and persistence.

Will this guarantee a placing in the final, I am not sure as people may see him as Oto 2.0, another angry man sing-shouting at you.
But the advantage of this song is, it's in English, so people may relate to the message he is sending.
Plus so far, it's ballad after ballad, this will stick out for the right reasons.

But unfortunately, as authentic as it is, it's not my kind of song. The most I can tolerate of similar genre will be something along the likes of Linkin' Park (although it may sound like early Linkin Park days but it's just not catchy).

I will give it a 5 for the effort and authenticity.
But will I be glad that it enters the finals? Of course, it's long overdue for Georgia and they should be rewarded for the risk and consistency. And we all know Georgia can stage a good performance.
