Interesting choice from Georgia. I am not able to rate it because I do not know the intentions, motivations behind georgian TV's choice. Definitely better than Montenegro.

What I like about Georgia is since 2012, they shift from one extreme to another every year. Every odd year, they send something typically mainstream. And every even year they send something out of the box or experimental. Their entry 2007 can be seen as sort of experimental as well. Of all of their experimental entries, this is their best one. Although, the staging will be important. I think they shouldn't perform exactly like they did in the video as people could write it off as a joke, but they should have bits a pieces of the video's aesthetic. With the right staging, it can work.

I completely agree. While the song wasn't bad to begin with, the new version is really good. I still hate the abrupt ending though, really throws me off every time. I have no idea whether this has a chance to qualify, but since it's in the second Semi which is considered less competitive....well, nothing is impossible.

I actually like the abrupt ending to the song. It reminds me of Presidents of the USA's "Lump" and Weird Al's "Gump" and how it just stops. Would be pretty funny if they end their song, drop the instruments and leave the stage. I'm glad they're in SF2 as well, their chances of qualifying are much higher than if they were in SF1.

Dissapointed over Thomas Gson who has made this song... Not more than 1 from me.

G:Son didn't really make the song - he just reworked it a little to improve some production values and change a few small clunky bits. He didn't have anything to do with the original composition - Georgia's just seemed to like having him rework their songs in the last couple years.

I actually haven't heard the revamped version until now. I'm not sure if it has to do only with the revamp, but this feels much better to me now. Could possibly enter my Top 10 now. xup

I still don't quite get this song - the refrain in particular. The verses are good though.
This could make it - they've qualified with middle-of-the-road songs (2008, 2013) - it kinda reminds me of Moldova 2011 and that did quite well.

Fans are STILL hyping the Georgian entry, because now they are watching the rehearsal and they are loving their performance full of tacky gimmicks. But you know, this is still a song contest and no matter how over-the-top your favourite act can be, if a song with a basic tune is missing from it, you're still not going anywhere.

Interesting video. They've gone for the plasticine distortion pedals and whatnot as I hoped they would, to emphasize they're not playing live. Rebelsxyes

Georgia was simply incredible today. The camera angles and kaleidoscopic visuals are perfect for this song and they really rock it hard. Beyond amazing xheart

So much hype for Georgia atm after the rehearsal. I'd love a surprise qualifier.

Well what exactly do you expect? Fans of this kind of rock are STILL hyping it because a colourful, tongue in cheek performance isn't going to suddenly stop us from enjoying it. Also, as a piece of music it's far from basic. If you want basic then take a look at a large chunk of the copy and paste dance tracks we have at Eurovision each year, made in five minutes on a computer. "Midnight Gold" has been in my head for weeks. I'm not having trouble remembering what it sounds like. The tune is there.

Much better odds from Georgia. Soon they will pass Ireland, Macedonia and Denmark to br nr 11 and possible Norway
