Re: GEORGIA 2012

Sopho Khalvashi's Visionairy Dream from 2007 is one of my all-time favourite eurovision songs. I would've loved for Georgia to continue with that style...

Sopho 2007 is probably the best Eurovision debut entry ever imo! It all went downhill from there, I don't really feel this rock obsession they have now, Eldrine last year was a really bad entry imo so I think I'll pass on Georgia once another year.

Personally, i also find their "rock obsession" pretty insignificant, but still i thought Eldrine was a good entry. Their performance was great, and kinda provocative in Eurovision-context.

In what way was it provocative?

Oh well, taste differs, to me it sounded like a 7 year old's take on rock

Look,i also like when a country has influense from tradition in the song,
but eurovision is not an ethnik festival, and that means that a song can also be good song without being ethnik.

I never said it's an ethnic festival and that songs that aren't can't be good?

Eurovision however is a contest where entries represent countries, and we all interpret that differently.

So because I like their debut and disliked their 2011 entry it means that I dislike all rock? I like good music in all genres, I just felt like their own selection this year is not very diverse. I always find it ironic when countries' have success in a certain genre and then the year after their selections' are filled with that particular genre.

I predict that they will choose Anri Jokhadze or Mirror Illusion.

Btw, Anri has 1 song in a duo with Azeri representative Sabina Babayeva.
He also performed together with Eva Rivas. Go figure, the holy unity of Caucasus etc ;)

Anris song is ridiculus.
If Georgia does this mistake, then everything can happen!
Even dont qualify in the final, like Armenia last year.

Re: GEORGIA 2012

This has to be one of the worst collection of songs from any country this year.
Depending on what others send in semi 2, this might be the year Georgia misses out on the final.

I actually said that if any country that had 100% record is about to fail this year, is definitely Georgia.

Re: GEORGIA 2012

Considering such low amount of entries anything can happen.

Well maybe, for some odd reason it seems Georgia is not as interested in this as the other Caucasian countries. Kind of weird considering they've been quite successful.
