Actually I think the English version here is pretty much awful. The lyrics sucks, the accent sucks.

I hope she keeps it fully in Macedonian. This entry is great, but it kinda sucks in English because those parts aren't good simply.

This is idiotic, Karolina KILLED her entry this way.

WHY OH WHY Macedonia!?!?!?

This entry is in my top. 3 currently, it's the best out of the ex-Yugo and Balkan ballads, stupid decision. Desperation written all over.

If true, then It's only one bit of the song, not as if she pulled a Greta.

Yeah, I heard it, but atleast in the Greta case (which sucked anyways) they had a good translation, this tiny English part is actually really bad. She doesn't need it to be frank, and it'll just sound awkward and out of place like when Karolina switched to English in the last chorus of her entry in 2007, that was also some truly dire English lyrics and didn't help it at all.

Yeah, on second listen the english part sounds really awkward tbh. :?
Hope she'll change her mind again and keep the full song in Macedonian.

Yeah, they are just unnecessary, she doesn't need them, and they really are BAD so it's not like they add anything good to the song, on contrary all the ones who understand English will go "eew awful lyrics.. next".

I wasn't expecting really great accents when it comes to ex-Yu countries ;D Well there is just something I like in this English version ;)
But mixing - no. It's obvious Kaliopi is not going to song in English, the thing is she shouldn't "touch" it at all now. It's like with the title of the song itself: black or white - no grey. So no bilingual please, just white=good scenario: 100% Macedonian.

Im not too keen on the bilingual version. I agree that it would have been better to go either one way or the other on this one. This is one of the strange exceptions where I actually prefer the english version of a song however. To me it sounds more alive and colourful almost. Im sure though however she sings it, we shall be blown away by Kaliopi's performance when she hits that Eurovision stage! :)

You have to be kidding? The English lyrics are really bad.

I'd pretend I never heard those lyrics. In a more "easy" type of song she could get away with it, but with a serious entry like this, no way with such bad English lyrics.

In my honest opinion, I find the english lyrics to be well done and very touching. The chorus as well to my knowledge is pretty much a straight translation of the macedonian version. The whole english version stays very much true to the originals very personal lyrics that Kaliopi has wrote.

Well, I dunno, it just doesn't sound good to me at all.

But then, I really like this one, and English is a whole different language group, and it sounds like a different song in English to me (much more so then for instance the Icelandic disaster). Slavic adds a character to this song.

English? meh..

I agree, it does sound very different in each language. The way the lyrics flow, her tone of voice. The bilingual version sounds not right as it wasnt recorded especially. They just tacked the english chorus on at the end from the original full english version. Im sure it will come off better on stage as she'll be singing it live and all in one take unlike this version that has just been plastered together.

Well, as long as they're not planning on going with English.

I don't like that English part in the bi-lingual even, but I truly like this in Macedonian.

The question is what they contributed to EBU? Is the change still possible? I just watched Sibel Tuzun videoclip of "Superstar" and it's 100% Turkish and she sang part in English in Athens, so maybe EBU didn't mind change of 1 chorus, I don't know.

Well for you then ill hope to that it is kept in Macedonian:p I won't mind either way though.. although I hope that bilingual version won't be on the official cd as it just sounds off.

EBU didn't care in the past so...

But I honestly hope she keeps it as it is, 100% Macedonian, this song is great... the English part in the end sounds unnecessary and bad.

She promised Macedonian and I hope she keeps it this way. :)

Yeah, I won't stand this version on the CD, 100% Macedonian on there atleast! In ESC, if she so desperately wants to make a "Karolina" then go for it, I'd say it's totally unnecessary.

The English lyrics are great btw! I don't see what the problem is with them. I personally love the bilingual version (and yes I also did love Karolina's and Elena's bilingual versions, maybe this one more). Anyway, I see fans are ranting that she shouldn't sing the song that way. :/ Maybe she should keep it 100% on Macedonian, even though I think the bilingual version is great.
She can still sing the song 100% on Macedonian.

^ like fan's rants mean too much lol
it's probably gonna be the last chorus in English, as on her official profile on eurovison.tv you can see that in the official lyrics it's like that, and the rest is in Macedonian.
