Although I am a big advocate of changing the type of music we send to the contest a bit, I can't help but find this ballad by Linh really beautiful. The ending that builds with the instrumentation is stunning. This would make a great entry if they cut it to the right duration for the contest.
The duration makes the middle of the song a bit repetitive but this can be easily fixed. With the right changes and right staging, it would make this song a worthy successor of Voilà and Mon Amour (in my opinion). But i still want a change, like Solann for example, who's a very unique and rare artist and who will release an album late january.

Interesting, Zaho de Sagazan has no concerts between 11th of April and the 30th May. This would give her time for a Eurovision participation. And before that she has a european tour in February and March, perfect for doing some promo in Europe right after a potential announcement in January, and no concert before January 29th (perfect for the announcement and to prepare pictures for Eurovision France, clips, some promo). I could be wrong but her schedule would fit well with a potential Eurovision participation. She would have time to do some eurovision preparties as well and they would follow this european and international tour and complete it. I initially thought she had concerts at the time of Eurovision but i was wrong. I can easily visualize her being one of the favorite choices of France TV. Her label seems to be in the process of promoting her abroad, so participating in Eurovision would make sense.
What do you think ? With the right song, she would be a worthy successor to Slimane but it's only my opinion. I would prefer this choice to Santa for example. But of course this only indicates that she's a possibility and available for the contest. It's not an information of course. But seeing what the french delegation wants for the contest, i think choosing Zaho would make sense. She has the french vibe but also could bring the originality and unique factor we lacked for years.

And as you said, Zaho could win for France! The problem with Santa is that although talented she lacks the x-factor imo.

I would not take that as a hint. She has done a lot of TV shows in France TV channels and won 4 awards at Les Victoires de la Musique 2024 (where our HoD is part of the team producing the show) so she's already very close to the France TV circle, which always helps when it comes to ESC. If she does Eurovision and has the right song for that, then she could be a serious competition for other countries who want to win. But she needs this song because it can also feel flat. Yes totally agree with your words about Santa.

It's probably Santa. Our HoD loves her and she's totally in vibe that France TV wants for the contest. She did a story yesterday where she had a photoshooting, and the story right after was her going in car to France Inter for a radio show with the exact same clothes. Since France Inter is less than 10 min away in car from France Televisions headquarters, i wouldn't be surprised if that photoshooting was made there. It could also be for Les Victoires de la Musique because she's nominated there but it's that or for Eurovision. At least, this adds to Alexandra Redde Amiel post on instagram in December where she also hinted at Santa with a picture of the french delegation. But i could be wrong.
If it's her, then i will be disappointed. This would probably mean another french ballad but with her discography, maybe not as good as Mon Amour or Voilà, and something more dated, more francophone friendly oriented that would end around 15th to 20th place in the contest. She would save it because she's a fantastic live performer and very creative. I expect many french fans to be happy with that choice but i personnally believe it's a "fausse bonne idée". But if it's her, then i only asked her to prove me wrong and i would be more than happy with that.

This account on twitter apparently has infos apparently (but to take with a grain of salt because i know the guy and he is used to seek attention everytime, but on an ocean of fake news, he sometimes bring accurate infos).So according to him, France's entry is a danceable song with Alizée vibes and the french delegation will work with Kyle Hanagami (who worked for Chanel's performance in 2022). He also says that they want to bring a unique staging (but to take with a grain of salt).

Probably fake news in the end. The guy was manipulated by another fan who sent him an AI demo with Alizée vibes and probably created a whole story around it...
