I mean… why not? Do you have to act all reserved like Loreen? Let your emotions out! I welcome it! Song was crap but that move…

Heartbroken and it hurts. Everything was on point. They managed to solve the problems from before, it was a performance for the ages. Right now I am drunk but I doubt it will change my judgement tomorrow. Gurl was done wrong for everyone but mostly the jury.

She did better on the Grand Final show than the jury one for sure. I love the staging, but I am sure it sort of limited her ability to perform. I was shocked that it underperformed.

As for her attitude, oh dear, she is not even famous enough to be a diva. I am sure she will have lots to say about her ESC experience in time to come.

She sang good. In the end, I must say France was my second place after Finland. I don't care about her middle finger gesture, it's an emotional reaction.

So what's going on with the French betting odds each year?

2018 Madame Monsieur suddenly started rising in late April until they reached #2 during rehearsals week, finished outside Top 10.
2019 Bilal Hassani suddenly started rising, reached #3 the week before the final, finished outside Top 15.
Now this year the same happens to La Zarra, rising as high as #3 a week before the final, finishes outside Top 15 again.

Because France is constantly overrated by the fandom and its polls (hello oage).

Don't know why France has this attraction to Eurovision fans. Is it the language? Is it the long gone glamour of "la grande nation"?

The frustrating thing is that France has so many good current pop artists. They could easily win.

With La Zarra they had an interesting artist but went again for that French stereotype. The performance and the staging was ridiculously arrogant.

Maybe it came across as a bit 'try hard' to the casual viewer. It felt like they were trying to replicate Voila. Barbara Pravi was a much more engaging performer, better song, and looked like she was enjoying herself throughout Eurovision while La Zarra didn't.

I'm not surprised at its televote score although I did think it would garner more jury support than it did.

tbh I can't stand Voilà, I thought that Evidemment was top 10 worthy at best, I feel like we're sending "good entries" but none of them are great (voilà included, that's why I'm happy Italy won) and I can't with the frenchy french cliché, it's like France in a movie. It's not representative of our music industry (but I can't blame them, our music is rap and the rest is trash, uninspired "variété française" = pop music without pop, a living hell really)

I would love for us to go in the french pop route (which is indie in this country lol) but atm I don't feel like there's one strong performer amongst them, we would get at best a result like Czechia this year.

Would a rap perfomer come forward and be selected, be nice to see some French rap at Eurovision?
