I'm relieved that we already have such a strong contender pre-qualified for the Grand Final.

Usually, I think that the Big 5 countries (especially France, Spain and Germany and the UK) are rather weak but this is exceptionally brilliant.

Okkkk the most unsurprising outcome ever. Before I comment on the song, I have some real issues with this final result format that practically handed all the power to the juries, that's a huge meh. Just assign points based on the % of votes.

Now the song. This is legit the first song of the year that I actually actively dislike - don't worry though France as i'm sure there is going to be more coming our way that i'll dislike a hell of a lot more. I really don't like the song at all, it's not my style and find it to be incredibly dull. Not only that I find her performance very inscinere and as someone else put it, an act of theatre rather than raw emotion. At least Seemone had emotion in her performance and you could feel it. This is just a discount Edith Piaf rip off tbh. I can't and wont join the hype for this, especially when you had some great songs in this line up and you've gone with the one I liked the least. Usually the hypes I dislike end up doing well, so good luck at Eurovision.

Big for France!! It was nerve wrecking when first jury just awarded her 2 points, I really had to stop watching it. One of my fave French recent entries together with Madame Monsieur.

By the way, did any of you notice how different Valentina sounded compared to JESC? In this case it is much clearer she was actually singing live.
