Ok, I understand. Of course it wasn't played on radios after the contest. But the song started to being played in the end of january and stopped in april (on NRJ at least, I don't know for others radios).
I hope one day we'll have a radio-friendly bop like "J'ai cherché" or "Bim bam toi" that we'll make everyone agreeing on the choice.

But yeah, I'm still waiting for the entry that will make people take the contest a little more seriously. Even if J'ai cherché and Bim Bam Toi are not my favorites they're definitely a step in the right direction.

His voice is really good, finally after years of bad vocalists, but this version and the acoustic one are just boring, and have more chance to finish dead last than the original one. For me, the best option is to work on the original version and try to make it better, with maybe a new orchestration and, if they can, because we know FTV, give him a nice staging. Of course even with all that, and like you, i don't say it will be top 10 in may, but it can help to avoid the last place.
Years after years, eurofans show their bad tastes (if you prefer over trashy) there are no discussion to have here.
It's always sad to see his country "lose" a year because of a bad choise, because even if i'm one of the only one to like the song, is not as if i screamed everywhere that we will finish top 5, i'm not our HoD
and yes i will enjoy a bottom 3 because than mean 2 chance to not finish last

Bim bah toi is really a hit but a lot of people don't know that it's esc related. It went viral after the jesc show with à video (on tiktok I think?) and I was so surprised to hear à friend of mine listening to it (ofc my friends never listen to esc-related songs I share with them because they think that esc is just shit).

I'm not a huge fan of the acoustic version and theone from yesterday but I repeat myself, I really want to hear the folk version he recorded tueasday last week, there seemed to have a real folk arrangment. It'll be released someday for sur since it was recorded in a record studio, but when ? It's probably for promotional purpose but I still want to hear it.
Anyway they'll probably just go for the original version and I wish they could make a breathtaking staging that could make the song go from a "Ew... so boring, cliché, cheesey" to a "Wow, amazing", but my hopes aren't high, lol.

Maybe I wouldn't say this if I didn't know the studio version, but... I find this one quite ok, actually?
Ditch the parts in English and I could give this a
/. At the very least, it proves that Tom can do a lot better under the right circumstances. The original is still very meh though.

I think at least the acoustic one is more authentic and closer to how his sounds? But I still think no matter what, the song cannot be saved. Now I am more convinced if the song is entirely in French, it wouldn't have felt so exposed that it is generic song lyrically.
I really like Tom, he seems like a nice chap and is ready to embrace the whole ESC experience (plus he is easily one of the best-looking artists we got in the new millennium, that really helps. The thirst in me is more focused on him than the song. Perhaps that is one of the strategies. LOL). But the song is in its original form is just not doing justice to him and the progress France has been making. I just feel sad that the big 5 are always switching places getting the bottom 5 and that's not because they are the big 5, but the songs they sent (UK, Germany) or the staging went wrong (Germany, Spain). I can't remember when is the last time we don't have a big 5 chalking the bottom 5 positions.
So they have decided to use the reveal lipsync performance as the official music video. I guess they have used up the budget for this reveal performance and hiring those crap writers.

French minister of culture want to ban sending songs with english at Eurovision next year and force the delegation to send 100% french song only. Your opinion on this ?

I could never get bored listening to this song. If you ask me, this is better than Sweden 2019.
As much as I appreciate it more when we send songs 100% in French, I am totally against this ban. There is a difference between making parts in the country's language mandatory (I have mixed feelings about such an idea to begin with) and banning all English lyrics, this is a step too far. Where is Liberty ?

Randomly Seemone's Tous les deux played on my YT watchlist and I just got so sad that this masterpiece had such a wrong timing. How much she would've slayed if there was no Bilan-mania or they would've waited one year and just let her do it this year without risking to get denied because of a teenie-mafia.

It wouldn't bother me. I don't see the point to always put some lyrics in english in a song in French. But I also wish that we could get a bop in breton or Corse, créole, occitan, alsacien...
