France FRANCE 2014 - Twin Twin - Moustache

I'm not into boybands at all (i.e. One Direction) and I ranked Jedward's songs high twice in 2011 and 2012, but I am going to say this:

Dated ? It is attacked for being too similar to the summer hit "Papaoutai". I don't think it's plagiarism, but this selection is a civil war... Or as we say in France "a storm in a glass of water"
And a plagiarism of the biggest hit of the year would be very stupid !

I liked the snippet of of Moustache, and the whole song definitely hasn't let me down! I fully agree with Toinou that it reminds of Papaoutai; and that is not a bad thing at all. That was one of the best songs of 2013 (and yes, the video helped a lot). Moustache doesnt sound dated at all to me.
And the live performance is good as well (even tough I would prefer it a little less "funny", and just "happy" - if you get my point)!

So I am not at all in doubts; Twin Twin for France!!

As for the other contestants: Joannas song is not bad at all, and she seems to be a decent singer. She is a good number two in this selection. The boyband? The song is ok. But as they clearly dont have the voices to sing live, they should definitely NOT go to Copenhagen.

I remember reading that Dutch fortunetellers foresaw that Belgium, France & the Netherlands would all be in the top 5, and with knowing the Dutch artist & while hearing Twin Twin's song, I wouldn't be suprised actually.. Nice selection France has!

After listening to the whole performances, my opinion doesn't change much:
1) Twin Twin for the win. They have a good sound, even though the live performance lacks the enhanced vocals of the studio version. Maybe the lyrics are dumb, but it doesn't matter, as few people can understand them anyway. Guilty pleasure of the year, I say.
2) Joanna, if she will be chosen, can't perform that way in Copenhagen. She needs some choreography; something as good and impressive as Azerbaijan last year.
3) Destan are hopeless.

Meh...I think France will have the best result with Joanna out of these 3, but Moustache can be a dark horse too.

Destan is OK actually, it's like mix of France 2004 and Austria 2004!

English is not that good, one of them has really thick accent..

I prefer them to Twin Twin now, although Twin Twin is catchy and colorful..

Joana sings nice, pity she has that snoozfest!

Definitely, Twin Twin with 'Moustache' should represent France at Eurovision. I'm disappointed with Destan, the song -except the chorus- is chaotic. Moreover, the guy who wears an earring has a bad live... Joanna's song is good, but... it's so random.

Twin Twin is by far the only choice that could make it to the top 20, even the top 10 with some luck. I get a Jessy Matador vibe from it. Destan is OK, but not really there and Joanna does nothing for me.
