I just realized that I didn't give my two cents (that nobody wants) yet. It's absolutely not my cup of tea but yea, it's definitely entertaining and catchy enough. We don't even need to discuss the fact that it's gonna do very well in the televoting though I don't see it winning here by a landslide (as many people seem to predict). I feel like it could do similar to Serbia 2022 or Finland 2021 (probs something around 200+ points or so). The juries will absolutely tank this though. I expect a bottom 6 placement here. Overall it should still be enough for a placement between 5th and 10th. Top 5 if the televoting goes really well.

Well I guess it depends on what we define as "tanked". For someone who wants to win everything outside of the Top 3 with either voting party is pretty much a death sentence.

Iceland 2019 - 5th in the odds - 16th with the juries

Lithuania 2018 - 5th in the odds - 11th with the juries
Italy 2017 - 1st in the odds - 7th with the juries

I am talking about contenders to win.
In your examples only Italy and Russia both times but were they really first (resp. 3rd) at the time of the jury finale?
Even if we take the other countries - none of them were bottom 6 with the juries.
Except for Norway and Romania they are all jury top 10 or close to.
