Midnight, it's time to put your face on
Game set, a killer shark in heels
I'm just the first shot on your hit list
High kicks, a predator on wheels
Woke up with bruises on my body
Hands tied, like Jesus on the cross
Your name's in lipstick on the mirror

Jezebel
I don't know how you got in my blood
Was it the dangerous things you do?
You always wanted to be a star
Jezebel
If you're the hunter then I'm the prey
You lick your lips as you walk away
Your final kiss is to leave a scar
On a heart
Jezebel

At night you turn into a tiger
A girl who looks like she's a boy
The world's most ultimate survivor

Jеzebel (Jezеbel)
I don't know how you got in my blood (Jezebel)
Was it the dangerous things you do? (Jezebel)
You always wanted to be a star
Jezebel (Jezebel)
If you're the hunter then I'm the prey (Jezebel)
You lick your lips as you walk away (Jezebel)
Your final kiss is to leave a scar
On a heart

Sunrise, you crawl under the covers
Sleep tight until the dying sun
Tonight you'll catch another lover
Jezebel

Jezebel (Jezebel)
I don't know how you got in my blood (Jezebel)
Was it the dangerous things you do? (Jezebel)
You always wanted to be a star
Jezebel (Jezebel)
If you're the hunter then I'm the prey (Jezebel)
You lick your lips as you walk away (Jezebel)
Your final kiss is to leave a scar
On a heart

I was expecting more than that. I like the instrumental part at 2:00 tho.
Jezebel is a good song... but outdated, imho, it's rather an album track than a song for the contest.
*sign* - As I expected something great, I am a bit disappointed and prefer Hurricane

"A girl who looks like she´s a boy".

I think this is a really triggering and questionable line.
They will get some backlash for it.

"Jezebel" is my favourite from this national final so far.
Is it one of their best songs? - Definitely, not but there´s a glimpse of their old sound in this song and I think it´s so much better than their recent singles.
The way how the chorus kicks in, is a bit sudden but they make up for it by the great melody and middle 8 part, imo.
Lyrically, it´s a bit weak (especially the 2nd verse with that questionable line).
The song´s basically classic "The Rasmus" and really good from the middle 8 until the end and I honestly can see this doing well in the recap in Eurovision if they choose that part to be shown.

I´d probably give it a :8: now? - Nothing to write home about BUT definitely a huge improvement to their recent releases.
Although I used to be a casual listener of The Rasmus (still love their Best Of album!), I think that I have heard better entries in this year´s edition´s national final (it´s still the best one coming from Finland, though).

I really like "Jezebel" just as I like "Hurricane". Just with both songs I have the problem that I really love the chorus, but that the verses are a little weak in my eyes. Nevertheless both good songs. Maybe around 8/10, but could grow on me.

This is not winning material BUT seriously, the chorus is absolutely great (especially with the added instrumental in the 2nd chorus followed by the GREAT and ANTHEMIC middle 8 part).
That´s something which could easily fit on their Best Of Album when they sat the "pop/rock music scene on fire".

I just wish that the verses were more cleverly-written and more memorable.
But it doesn´t sound like an "album track to me". The chorus is way too catchy for the song to be labelled as such.

That said, after watching The Rasmus´entry, YouTube automatically plays Rayden´s "Calle de la Ilorería" afterwards and I have to admit that THAT song claps harder :D Spain, don´t mess it up! :D

Forget what I wrote a few minutes ago. Listened to "Jezebel" a few times already and got addicted. Fantastic song and so far the best in this section. Catchy as hell!!! xclapxheart

Same here. It´s probably the 5th or 7th time I´m listening to it right now - it really does kick it.

Still, the 2nd verse is the lowest part of the song and they need to revamp it (re-write that troublesome line before they get cancelled by woke journalists and fans and maybe add something to lift the instrumental in that part a bit).

I think that they really nailed that "nostalgia factor" without sounding old-fashioned + I love their new guitarist!

Still, the chorus is everything! :10: now.. maybe? :D

Yep - I will now probably go to bed with "Jezebeeeeel" in my ears.

You are probably right about the 2nd verse. Let's see if they will really revamp it.

Oh yes! xheart

Same here!
I need to check if the song´s already on iTunes so that I can listen to "Jezebel" in bed as well.
It´s so freaking catchy. I was really afraid of it "being too soft or non-memorable" but they chorus is giving me so much life - it feels very nostalgic yet not outdated - the bells, the guitar as well as the lead singer´s vocals (which haven´t changed at all over the years!). Love it!

I will try to listen to Doda´s magnus opus ("Fake Love"), dunno, three times, so that I can go to bed without thinking of "Jezebel" :D

Seriously, I just re-listened to their recent singles and "Jezebel" is so much better than "Holy Grail" (sounds like a female-led pop song from Melodifestivalen) or "Bones" (which does have a great melody as well as the "melancholic/nostalgic factor" but basically no guitars/riffs at all.

"Jezebel" combines everything - they just need to rework/revamp the 2nd verse. That´s it and it is one of their best singles in years, for sure.

I'm not a rock person at all (well at least 90% of the time) so I might not be the right person to judge but to me Jezebel feels really basic, nothing special. The typical rock melody, still the song lacks any deeper impact somehow. The chorus stays pretty flat. It would be quit a downgrade if :fi: sent this after Blind Channel..

Oh that The Rasmus song is quite delicious I must say. It's wonderfully campy and towards the end OTT in the best possible way. The second verse really snaps *puurrrs* and wow, then comes the bridge and it's an epic moment as we're led into the final chorus. It's a fun and captivating three minutes. Great camera presence (bit of a given as they're veterans). I think this song could really charm Europe. I was certainly curious about what The Rasmus would offer us but I didn't expect to enjoy the song this much.

9/10 for now. I wanted to say 10/10 but it can get that from me if it survives multiple listens (of which it will get many as this is high key much boppery). I'm scared now I've cursed this as my favourites never win NFs, especially when it comes to Finland. My heart can't handle another Eini/Erika Vikman/Opera Skaala moment.
