Midnight, it's time to put your face on
Game set, a killer shark in heels
I'm just the first shot on your hit list
High kicks, a predator on wheels
Woke up with bruises on my body
Hands tied, like Jesus on the cross
Your name's in lipstick on the mirror

Jezebel
I don't know how you got in my blood
Was it the dangerous things you do?
You always wanted to be a star
Jezebel
If you're the hunter then I'm the prey
You lick your lips as you walk away
Your final kiss is to leave a scar
On a heart
Jezebel

At night you turn into a tiger
A girl who looks like she's a boy
The world's most ultimate survivor

Jеzebel (Jezеbel)
I don't know how you got in my blood (Jezebel)
Was it the dangerous things you do? (Jezebel)
You always wanted to be a star
Jezebel (Jezebel)
If you're the hunter then I'm the prey (Jezebel)
You lick your lips as you walk away (Jezebel)
Your final kiss is to leave a scar
On a heart

Sunrise, you crawl under the covers
Sleep tight until the dying sun
Tonight you'll catch another lover
Jezebel

Jezebel (Jezebel)
I don't know how you got in my blood (Jezebel)
Was it the dangerous things you do? (Jezebel)
You always wanted to be a star
Jezebel (Jezebel)
If you're the hunter then I'm the prey (Jezebel)
You lick your lips as you walk away (Jezebel)
Your final kiss is to leave a scar
On a heart

I am a huge fan of Hurricane here, no wonder, that it´s written by Elize :-)

Firstly I must say that I always love UMK's presentation. The past three or so years especially Finland have dished out and promoted the songs in their selections to us in such a slick, exciting way. Cool videos again this year!

I've listened to the first two and my feelings are mixed.

For Cyan Kicks' Hurricane I don't really have much to say. Seems pretty well done for what it is and their vocalist is charismatic. I can appreciate it but I'm not feeling it really. Too soft for me. 5 or 6 rating for now.

BESS' Ram pam pam I'm undecided on but ultimately it seems a very solid package on offer here. I think the chorus honestly lets it down quite a bit as it's a monotonous journey to the ram pam pam pam hook. Best bit is the pre chorus and the vocals. Her energy is certainly there but the song turns the throttle down when it needs to go up. Would give it maybe a 7.

Looking forward to hearing the others. We've already got our dad rock from Bulgaria and now Finland might just be providing us with some mum rock if The Rasmus win. Now there's a name I haven't heard in years. They were briefly really quite big in the UK. 12 year old Rainy would secretly steal borrow his mother's copy of Dead Letters to listen to Guilty on repeat. Their music hasn't aged particularly well with me but I'm still super curious to find out what they'll bring.

I´m glad we totally agree on this one @RainyWoods
You just gave 1 single point more to each entry so far than I did but the "margin" remains the same.

I never thought of "The Rasmus" being labelled as "mum rock" - They used to be incredibly huge here, especially among pupils - maybe that´s why I have never perceived them as such.

I somehow agree, though, that their latest releases fall into that category, though.

OMG - @RainyWoods I just remembered how my mother just came to me the other day asking me which song I put on repeat in our family car becaue it is "exceptionally brilliant and a wonderful song"... and it was this one:

Aw bless. See, mum rock confirmed! xheat And I say that with no shade as a good chunk of what I listen to outside of Eurovision world would be classed as dad rock. Mums and dads need to rock out too 🤘My mum was in her 40s when she was spamming The Rasmus songs around the house during my childhood.

Out of curiosity I've listened to a couple of The Rasmus' newer singles and I'm not keen. Hopefully they've come up with something special seeing as this is Eurovision.

My absolute favourite was from Hide from the sun and is "Night after night (out of the shadows)", but I agree Guilty was also good. I didn't listen to anything new from them in years, so I'm quite curious. Probably the last works I remember from them were "Ten Black Roses", "Living in a World Without you" and "Justify", and I feel old saying this because 12 years have passed... 😅😅😅

I finally listened to it and I like it, it's very catchy and in finnish (and that in my opinion is a big plus, because Finnish language suits well this kind of songs). I feel this will be a better choice than Hurricane, because I find the chorus more memorable and immediate. That said, I like both entries so far, so good job Finland!

Awww, nooo. The first 43 seconds are such a cool build up and then you're let down... I don't like the chorus (the Ram pam pam is catchy though). The songs from "Victorious" have more punch than this.

Both songs are okay so far, but don't let me burn for them 100%. Cyan Kicks is okay, but nothing more for me. With Bess it feels the same. Both songs somewhere between 5-7 pts. I hope that The Rasmus will surprise me more! Or any other left artist in this section.
