Superman is the only one with potential, the music video is a gem with Darude flying like a superhero kissing his fake biceps. Love it! Plus, itÂ’s the only memorable, the other two are big meh, canÂ’t even remember them well.

The video is adorable and helped me to appreciate the song. It's light-hearted fun and totally self-aware. That's what would help give it the edge over the other choices if you were to send it to the contest. It's genuinely charming and gives off a warm feeling. We need Darude in his superhero outfit at Eurovision.

Superman gives off a warm feeling, yes, but it's not even close as memorable as Look Away - it's instantly memorable, and hit me instantly. For the previous two, it took several listens for them to stay in my head, this one did it right away. I do hope Finnish people will agree with me ;)

Release Me is still my favourite by far... Actually I've quite fallen in love with this song! :) It's has the only melody i remember instantly and in my opinion all in all it has the best mix/ variety... And it has the most catchy chorus. As for Superman and Look Away too much of the same stuff is going on in the 3 minutes

Agree with this. Of the three, it’s got the strongest concept and it’s the most marketable and memorable. Would love to see those fun superman animations on the big screens in May.

It depens on live versions, which one I will vote for UMK 2019.

All three songs are quite weak :( The third one is the best, but all three are quite mediocre.


I think this will be a major flop. Too bad. I didn't expect another "Sandstorm" but no effort was put here. He probably just pulled the first three songs that he had nearby when he was selected.

Not much separating the 3 songs for me, and I don't have a clear favorite. But it doesn't really matter, I have a feeling that no matter which song is selected, it'll still be my absolute #1 this year. A lot depends on Sebastian's live performance tho, bad singing could really ruin a good song (Poland 2018).

I think there's too much singing in all of them tho, but that's normal with these songs in Eurovision. I know the rules say that there has to be vocals, but Nocturne back in 1995 showed that there's no need to have a lot of them...

01. Superman 10/10
02. Look Away 8/10
03. Release me 5/10

I Love Superman, Amazing Dance Track, this really my style of music. Look Away is also very good. Release me is the only one who lelt me cold, it's not bad but a only Okay Song.

I am not a particular fan of any of these songs, but "Release me" is actually the only song that could grow on me.

none of these songs are particularly qualification-y but superman is the only one that makes me fly like i'm shuperman, so it has to win.

I listened through the songs again, and well, they aren't so bad to be honest. I would rank them like this:

1. "Look Away" - I like the serious tone in this song, easy beat and a simple and nice message that people will understand. The only problem with this is that it might be too dark, in a year, which feels a little dramatic as a whole already...

2. "Superman" - I completly hated this on the first listen, but I am starting to warm up towards it. It is a cute song and easy to remember. And if it was a video contest, this would do very well, I know my brother (who was shocked the other day when I told him Darude was competing for Finland) will roll on the floor laughing seeing Darude dressed as superman. :lol:

3. "Release Me" - Being not totally awful, it just doesn't work for me. Maybe it is the weak instrumental parts. Maybe it is the tropical 2nd verse that makes me sick. Or maybe it is that it is that I just can't unhear "Realese Me" by Agnes. I don't know, but it is the worst of the three.

Whatever Finland chooses, I think it might be on the verge to qualify or not. It depends a lot on how things will look live in Tel Aviv I think.

I like dance music, but I dont find any of these really catchy. Plus I have a huge issue with the singer: It feels as if he has no charisma and that makes it hard for me to like any of the songs somehow.

The YLE poll has it as a two horse race between Superman and Look Away. Release Me is dead last by quite some distance.

I guess that ''Look Away'' will be selected but i prefer by far ''Superman''. Sadly both songs sound like clear NQ to me.

I enjoy dance music and of these "Look Away" is my favourite I guess. I fear though, as others have said, that it could struggle to qualify.
Similar style songs (DJ BoBo 2007 for Switzerland, which I personally enjoyed, comes to mind) have failed in the past in the ESC.

Performances seem as a good effort..but those vocals.. :( NONO
