The Faroe Islands of all teams tainted the impressive clean sheet of Denmark by a late header goal

They still lost but you could see in the faces of the Denmark players they were pissed off

Anyway, Denmark can still claim to have a clean sheet against foreign teams :D

Italy missed the chance to take a big step to Qatar as Jorginho missed a penalty in the 90th minute. The same happened to him in the first leg. They should clearly choose an alternative penalty taker. Switzerland must catch up two goals towards Italy in the last match day but Italy scored more goals, so maybe Switzerland actually has to catch up three goals.
Then again, maybe Italy does a bottle job against the bus parkers from Northern Ireland. Italy is prone to struggle against good fighting minor sides. Anyway, exciting it is!

As already said, :fo: with an impressive Achievement yesterday. :pl: pretty disappointing after a promising Start.
:ca:n with an important Victory vs ::cr Yesterday.

Today :ba::fi: is probably the most important Match. I also expect :be::fr: to qualify today.

I kind of hope, :kz: will do miracle on Paris, and plays either draw or win against :fr::ROFLMAO:.

Exciting second half coming up on :ba: - :fi: match. Finland leads 0-1, but Jukka Raitala hot red card, so Finland plays with ten players against eleven players.

Excellent second half game from Finland! They scored twice even though they played shorthanded.

Pretty bad game from 🇧🇦 team... I don't know what happened to all of them, we had good start, but that was all positive. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
One match more, not so important for our team, but for Finland and Ukraine yes. Idk what to expect from that match cause Ukraine has definitely strong team.
Anyway, congrats Finland and good luck 🇫🇮/🇺🇦 in the race for the 2nd place!

🇧🇦 will need to wait another chance and change something to be better as we used to be!

:ca: beat Costa Rica 1-0 last night, :us: beat :mx: 2-0

If Canada beats Mexico on Tuesday, Canada will take over 2nd place in the CONCACAF qualifying pool!

Excited to see :fi: still alive at this stage.

UEFA qualifiers are boring as usual… the competition is just weak, big gaps between the top teams and the rest, the real nerve-racking action is in South America, apart from Brazil and Argentina, all the other teams have chances and are capable to steal points from the powerhouses.

You already forgot last World Cup, where :it::nl: didnt qualify?
Both eliminated by Sweden, which isn’t a minor rival. It was an unfortunate draw only.
The competition itself is reduced to a bunch of same olds, maybe one or two dark horses and shocking results, but generally the quality of matches are usually low, out of ten matches there is one or two interesting and the rest are witnessing small countries being smashed.

In South America you can see a bottom place challenging a world class team, the table changes every FIFA week and usually all, or almost all teams, get to the final round with chances to qualify.

Well, I know many people here who would like to introduce pre-qualifiers for the minor teams that are common in different confederations that would prevent the whipping boys such as San Marino and Liechtenstein from qualifiying for the group stage which would therefore be more competitive. I guess I would approve that too, but then again I know it's a great deal for minor nations (especially those that include part-time football players) to have the possibility every once in a while to face the best teams of Europe (and therefore the world), if only because of the post-match shirt swap. xcrazy Ironically, in Asia they chose the opposite way by enlarging the main group stage, but since then they've got results like a Qatar - Bhutan 15:0 or Mongolia - Japan 0:13, so the gap between the the good and the weak teams there is much bigger... but at least they've got an exciting final group stage.

A tight competition as in South America is hardly achievable for Europe... but mind, you also had awful teams if Suriname and French Guiana didn't decide to join the CONCACAF from the very beginning. Moreover, there is Venezuela which never qualified for the World Cup and are dead-last in this campagin and were also in the last WC campaign. And Bolivia who probably would be less competitive if they didn't play in their 4.000 metres above sea level stadium

:pt: 1:2 :rs:

And we qualified to Qatar directly xyaaay

Unbelievable evening in Portugal tonight and this victory against :pt: is the biggest success of :rs: football in modern history.

Very good qualification cycle for us, we managed to improve upon a lot of things, especially on the psychological level, and the results are obvious. We didn't lose a single match and in every match we showed great and offensive football. That is exactly the way we should pursue going forward as well.

We had successful qualification cycles back in 2006 and 2010 but never did we qualify in such an epic way. If we keep this approach and level of performance on the World Cup, we will finally have a chance to do something on the championship itself.

Well done to everyone who participated in this glorious victory tonight.
