It would be cool if underdog Croatia could win against the favorite France. It would be like Greece winning the Euro in 2004 and could foreshadow a Croatian Eurovision victory in 2019.

Oh gosh... I missed the game but I'm currently in Dublin, so I got to know Croatia scored twice just by the shouts coming from the street.

Congratulations to Croatia though Daria Kinzer would be so proud. I think I jinxed this by deciding to watch my first ever match alone by my own accord tonight. I really wanted to see my country win to uplift everyone's spirits here, but it wasn't to be. They did well to get this far though. Last time they reached this far was 1990, right? A couple of months before I was born. The England team did good. I'm proud and i'm not even a football fan.

So near yet so far, to lose in extra time is just heartbreaking. Really thought we were going to do it this time. Sooo proud of our great team though, the best England team I can ever remember, taking our great country to our first World Cup semi final since I was born. Gareth Southgate, Harry Kane and Jordan Pickford are national heroes! Here's to being one of the world's top four... now for the third place play-off against Belgium!

This is not as big a surprise as Greece was in 2004. Greece was predicted 14th or 15th of 16 nations in that tournament to win in.(I know Latvia played that tournament, otherwise I would have said last) Croatia on the other hand, have a few of the best players in the world with Rakitic and Modric. I someone could make a team out of it they were definitely top 8 for this tournament. And that's what happened .

I am sad that my two favourites England and Belgium are playing for the bronze, and France and Croatia are the ones playing for the gold, but congratulations to the both of them.

An England vs France World Cup final match would have been absolutely fantastic, you can just imagine the tension But it wasn't to be.

Obviously I will be supporting England on Saturday, and France on Sunday.

So I just realized that by advancing to the semi final, we have successfully repeated the history. (history being our success back in 1998).

But if we were to beat England and make it to the finals......that would be creating a whole new history!

Well done to our neighbours Impressive tactical setting and an even better mental preparation. They didn't fall down even after an early gol and they were much better from the second half and onwards. A deserved final absolutely. is a favorite in the final but anything can happen in one match. I think has a realistic chance to win it all. Details will decide in the final.


Congratulations to as well. I think should be proud of their team. They played well and this generation promises a lot. These players are young and if the team sticks together, they will have what to show in the future.



As for and , I was hoping for but I knew that will make it through. has more experience and they are stronger as a team. Everything looks as if will win the final but has a really good chance to surprise there as well. Especially with this approach.
