However, the smiley you chose to share such events

...and the "like" on hugh video saying "Love it" contradicts you.
Please, do not come up with political issues which are not related to a sport topic, just to distract attention from something that degrades English people and you seem to enjoy.
IKEA are chilled about what happened, hence why I told you to "chillax" about it but you are still upset about it obvs so I'm just reminding you that no one is saying go and jump on a bed in IKEA, people (including IKEA and customers who were there) are just seeing the humour in some guys doing it after a Sweden match :)

And when the cost of a few England fans is mentioned in the context of all England fans being labelled bad and "the worst", I think it is totally legit to mention the contribution of the many England fans, and the cost of other things in comparison soooo :) At the end of the day, these finances affect me not you ;)

You know nothing about me, so don't go to that field and don't assume anything about how certain things affects my life and finances xrose At the end of the day it's not about pockets and wallets but principles.
It sems hard to admit you support such uncivilised behaviour and then come up with politics and say "nobody said it's fine (what those fans did)" while smiling and celebrating such idiotic and hypocritical behavior that apparently suits you very VERY well.

cegs5 Pretty much everyone I know loves the World Cup and is an "England fan" for it, and they don't jump on buses and damage things. These are like under 100 people out of about 30+ million following the Three Lions, so yeah I do object to England fans being labelled the worst, louts, and so on. Maybe you have confused me pointing that out for thinking I said jumping on bus and damaging an ambulance is good, I don't know. Ah well :)

The guy who broke the bus stop (and others like him) are one or two, surrounded by crowd of hundreds of other fans who are not doing that and are just out on the streets celebrating! Also, I'm not sure how much it is English FOOTBALL fans, go out on a Friday night in August and people will be acting just the same - it's drunk people. On the money point, it's worth remembering that these same fans are BOOSTING our economy massively - it has been calculated that every goal England score boosts the economy by £200 million, money which will go to our military, NHS, and so on ;)

Also I cannot agree that English football fans are "the worst". That is just what some people want you to believe. Let's remind ourselves of the last World Cup, did we see anything like this in England?

Our fans get really carried away by the World Cup, sometimes that leads to foolish things, mostly that leads to great fun and a boosted economy!

Who's boosting our economy? Our football fans in general or the hooligans? I don't quite get that part of your comment. Should we excuse this kind of stuff cause football is bringing in the money? I think it's irrelevant really to what I was saying. It's embarrassing and it's wrong. We're known for our football hooligans and it's not a good look.

I'm happy to see we're doing well in this world cup and if it raises people's spirits then that's great, as we're very divided at the moment as a country, and we need to be the opposite of that during the times ahead. Doesn't mean though we should turn a blind eye to absolutely shitty behavior and not point it out with disdain, cause otherwise people will think it's ok to destroy other people's property. I don't find it funny or amusing at all. In fact, I live ten minutes from Wembley Stadium so this unpleasant side of football i've personally experienced on multiple occasions, having to stand at a bus stop directly in front of the stadium, surrounded by people pissed out of their heads kicking bus shelters, harassing people and doing other repugnant things. This kind of stuff really is not amusing, especially when you're standing in it. Maybe it's funny to laugh at looking in at us from another country, but here? No. I've got more pride for my country than that, so these people disappoint me. They tar us.

Whether we're THE worst or one of the worst, it doesn't really matter. It's super embarrassing. You can have a great time and let the world know your passion whilst still showing respect to yourself, others, people's property and perhaps most importantly, your country. These people are letting the side down.

One positive thing that happened is that Millwall Supporters’ Club has started a crowdfunding campaign to pay for the repairs of an ambulance that was damaged by the hooligans (which I think is a really lovely gesture), but it really, really shouldn't be the innocent football fans who feel embarrassment paying for these things. It should be the pricks that do the damage.

And so that not all my contributions to this topic are negative in tone, here's a picture of Harry Kane.

This was shot outside the Team Sky mechanic trucks prior to stage 2 of the Tour de France, I think it's clear who they're backing!

According to disgraceful FIFA's decision you can't greet your previous club if it's in Ukraine and say "glory to Ukraine" on video after the game.
When you think it just can't become more xenophobic they always surprise you

Ukraine will give money to Ognjen Vukojević so he could pay that fine, moreover he was offered a job in FFU (currently he's a Dynamo manager). The president of FFU wore a football shirt today with "Rakitić" on it.
The parliament chanted "Glory to Croatia!" FIFA's decision caused outrage all over the country, everywhere I go people curse FIFA talk about it.

FIFA's "reviews" FB page is closed. I witnessed 175 000 new "1" star rankings in less than a day.

As for tonight's match I'm cheering for both. Happy that all my fave teams made it.

Before this “incident”, I though that’s how Slavic people greet each other in general.
Like Slava Ukraine, Slava Slovakia... xshrug

I didn’t know it was offensive.

:br: Matheus joined us and supported Croatian players.
Ukrainian rage against FIFA invaded all our social networks and it became the #1 trend everywhere. From YT to FB & Twitter.

Prohibiting saying that is offensive! It's like "Viva la France" or "Long live the Queen"! This is how people greet each other here. Also we say "Slava Ukraini" when somebody succeeds. Or before some important event to cheer up. As a toast xcheer1. Apparently "some people" ;) can't stand that and imply their boring crap that we are nazis. See, if Ukraine succeeds - you're nazi. If you want to greet someone - you're nazi. If you want to congratulate Ukrainian club (because that player played here) - you're nazi.

"Ukraine" / "nazi" is a daily pattern in Russian news (and that comes after we had lost 8 million people in the WWII). Can't believe that FIFA allows that political nonsense :? To me it's equal to banning the name of my country.

ps. Ukraine offered juridical help (if needed) to Croatian players in their case against FIFA.

Slava Hrvatskoj!

Well ... congrats, France! Not a great match, but somehow deserved. Well, if now England also make it, I am angry that I didn't bet before the WC!!! :twisted:ro:lleyes:

P.S. It would be nice to be wrong ... meaning hopefully Croatia winning tomorrow. :D

Aha either way our final match will be interesting. Against France for the win and to say "ha we beat France " or against Belgium where both sides are actually trying unlike our last game where both sides played team b to try and lose.

No matter which team will be in the final - either England or Croatia - I hope one of them will win against France. Not only because Croatia never won anything and England's last championship lies so long back, just seeing France playing so terribly yesterday ...
