Dexter, for some reason, can't get a hold of my attention. I like the idea of the series, but for a crime series the story seems to develop a bit too slow for my taste. I've watched a few seasons.

Dexter is not one of my fave series ever, it is my favorite series ever. Only started watching it a few months ago and I'm currently at season 5 which has started out pretty promising so far, though it'll be difficult to live up to the brilliance of season 4 and the Trinity-killer. Hopefully I'll be through the first 6 seasons for the season-7 premiere.

Gosh, I've just finished watching the The Killing - Season 2, US version, and it sooooo good. There was a shocking little twist in the end that I didn't expect. Everything is so well made (the acting, the story, the dialogues, the realistic staging). I can really recommend to anyone with a craving for good detective (solving a murder) series.

Same here. My biggest issue actually is the fact that he himself is a murderer, the fact that he kills "bad people" is irrelevant. If I don't have any sympathy for the character I cant' enjoy the show as I want to be able to somehow root for them but instead I just get incredibly mad and it's just no fun. I feel the same way about "Breaking bad" (is that popular overseas???). I don't like any of the characters, they're all crooks.

I love "Gossip Girl"! I'm watching season 3 right now. "Desperate Housewives" is okey when I'm bored so I watch it on Fox Life sometimes.

"The city" and "The hills" are GREAT but somehow I miss most of the series on MTV. Still, GG is the best for me!

Currently my favorite show is probably Fringe, and I'm anxiously awaiting to see how it'll all end in the final season we're getting this autumn. I'm also pretty excited for the next season of Dexter, although not really on the same level as Fringe. Then there's also the absolutely brilliant Danish drama series Borgen, which I have watched religiously. 2013 cannot simply come soon enough!

But the best show in recent years, IMO, is probably the reimagined Battlestar Galactica (despite the iffy ending). No other show in recent memory ever had the same level of tension, well written drama, addictive storylines, and amazing acting that BSG had (honorable shout out to The Wire, though). I recently went through a rewatch, and the scene where Roslin died at the end of Daybreak, and then when Adama sat next to her grave, talking about the cabin he was going to build without her, still very nearly brought some tears to my eyes.

The Inbetweeners, TopGear and New Girl are definitely my favorite shows. Well, if you count Bref as a show (more like a flash show) then that tops everything

New Girl is funny, but compared to Bref. ... Nothing can beat Bref. :lol:

New Girl has that dorky humor that I really love, plus Zooey is so adorable :mrgreen:

). You got it right, the situations are really familiar, that's a big part of the magic of Bref, it's like we see ourselves in him

Zooey is super adorable in that serie! I haven't watched the entire season yet, but I really liked the first episodes :lol:

That's mine too hahaha! I don't remember their names though, I also like that episode when he prepares himself for a date or where Marla (son plan cul) is the protagonist for one episode :lol:

She's really great on that show

I pretty much love all of the episodes, tbh :mrgreen:

. I really like the episode where he prepares for his date. He puts on perfume, puts more, ends up putting too much, then took a shower again, but it turns out he has to wait several more hours until the date :lol:
