Re: Eurovision Song Contest 2012: REHEARSALS (vote in the poll for your fave from DAY
The individual rehearsals are over, so here's my review of Day 8
Nice backdrop, but since I have the long version on my iPod, I'm thankful to sit through 3 minutes of this. Thanks, Estonia. Other than that, it looks to be an easy qualifier.
Shirtless Max!!!!!!
Anyway, Max makes use of the catwalk like if he's at a rock concert. Better than the first rehearsal.
Choreography is more or less the same as in NF (why am I commenting on NF performances?), but again, Norway should qualify with ease. I just noticed (or not) that he lost the hood.
First of all, I echo everyone's sentiments when I say this: Nice hideous dress, Maya.
But seriously, it's really not a borefest like someone on Twitter said. Except for the middle part. The ending was great. I say borderline
OMG, again! With the backdrop! (Maybe we should start rating backdrops) The blindfold is totally part of the act, yes, but I'm too focused on the backdrop. Sorry!
To me it's just like the first rehearsal, except he's in his final attire (I guess if he's going with that, we can't be sure), and I still love the dancing. I would still ask him to be careful with the lower tempo. I think this is a great start to the final.
Loving the cape (is that what it was?) I think it's better than the first. And there goes the shirtless men. Why do shirtless men always get me?
First notice: The backings are behind her and not beside her. I like the dress, but I'm not sure if it will dither on some television sets (well, I'll be watching it live online, so maybe it won't). Much better than the first.
Lovely dress on Sabina. And they change colors too (well, on the front anyway). I have always loved this ballad, and she does it very well with it. Wonderful rehearsal. I expect another top 10 finish and nothing less.
Another top 10 contender. Personally, this should end in the top 15, but after today, it ranks up there in the top 10 with Azerbaijan. Maybe even share the same placing (but we do have a tie-breaker round, you know)
Maybe it's just me, and maybe I'm the one who doesn't understand this song at all, but I find the whole thing boring. It's fine with everything it has on stage, but it's hard to argue for it when, really, I'm not feeling it. I'll be surprised if this does well, and you can hold me to that.
And I'm sorry to say that I will not be watching the semi finals live because of other commitments (but I'll be watching them overnight), but I will be watching the final live, so I'm glad I'm not missing part of the action.
